An Apple A Day...

Hi there! It's Product Spotlight day at DeNami Design, and today we're featuring the Small Apple! I LOVE this image! It's the ideal size to color or paper piece! And it's so perfect for teacher gifts and autumn-themed projects!

You're probably thinking...there she goes again with that paper piecing...but I couldn't resist!!! A gingham apple...c'mon...so cute!!! And, do you like the apple background panel??? I handstamped that using the solid and outline apples from the Apples and Pears Stamp Set! It was really fun and I LOVE the results!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to head on over to the DeNami Design Blog to check out what my fellow DT gals and our Guest Designer, Emily, have created!

DeNami Product Spotlight: Small Grapes

Hey there! It's Product Spotlight Day at DeNami Design and this time around we're featuring the recently released C87 Small Grapes----SOOOO whimsical and SUPER sweet! AND...it's on sale for ten percent off this week!!! YAY!!!

I first handstamped the polka dots onto a lavender panel and used a punch to create a window. Then I set the panel on top of a blank card and lightly traced the outline of the punched shape in pencil, so I would know where to stamp my images.

The grapes are stamped over the Curly Garland Border to make them look like they're hanging from a vine. I also found these GORGEOUS Lavender Crystal Elements at my local Archivers!!! SWOON! AND...they fit PERFECTLY on the grapes!! So, I added several to each bunch to give them dimension---FUN!

The "Thankful For You" sentiment is also a new release from DeNami Design!!! I absolutely LOVE that font!!!

Thanks for stopping by! Remember to head on over to the DeNami Design Blog to check out the FABULOUS cards/projects my fellow DT members have created using this image!!!

And one more VERY IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE: A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to everyone who visited the DeNami Design booth at our shows in Loveland and Colorado Springs!!! I had such an AWESOME time meeting everyone and chatting about this AMAZING hobby we all LOVE SO MUCH!!! Looking forward to interacting with y'all more in the future!!!!

Home Tweet Home

Hello! It's Product Spotlight Day at DeNami Design, and today we're featuring the super cute Spring Chicks Stamp Set PF38.

That adorable little birdhouse is my favorite image in this stamp set, so I decided to create a gift box using the birdhouse as my focal point. Have you ever tried DeNami Design's Gift and Favor templates? They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and they're so super easy and lots of fun to use! Here, I used the Small Gift Box Template GF01.

I started by cutting the template along the solid lines. I flipped the template over, stamped the leaves from the Elegant Floral Stamp Set PF37 all over (leaving the top flap blank), and colored them with my Copic Sketch Markers. I stamped the top flap with Medium Polka Dots N136. Then, I scored the template along the dotted lines, applied double-sided tape to the side flaps, and assembled the box. Piece of cake!

I punched a fancy square from a scrap of white cardstock, stamped Leafy Sprig D108 in the center, added some faux stitching with a fine tip brown marker, and matted the square in blue. I stamped the birdhouse from the Spring Chicks Stamp Set PF38 on a white scrap, colored it with Copic Sketch Markers, fussy cut it and popped it up just below the Leafy Sprig.

The sentiment, Home Tweet Home D131, is a single stamp, but I inked each word up separately, so I could spread the words out around the front of the box.

I think this would make a sweet little package for a housewarming gift. It's not quite big enough to hold a gift card, but you could fill it with handmade magnets, tea bags, a cute keychain for the new house key, etc.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you like my creation! Be sure to visit the DeNami Design Blog to see what the rest of the talented DT made with the Spring Chicks Stamp Set PF38!!

Let It Snow

There were two sources of inspiration for the card I'm sharing today. The first was the adorable & festive pine snowflake decoration that I talked about in my Shop 52 Denver post yesterday! Click HERE to read that post and to enter my giveaway! The second source of inspiration came from the most recent challenge over at DeNami Design! The challenge is to use a paper punch of your choice and any DeNami Design stamp! Click HERE for all of the deets!

Here's my creation:

I thought it would be fun to create my own pine snowflake using my "Pine" paper punch (McGill) and a white uni-ball pen.

And of course I had to stamp my favorite "Falling Snow E94" (DeNami Design) in the background!!! By the way...did you watch the Charlie Brown Christmas special tonight?!?! Oh, how I LOVE that show!!! Melts my heart every time!

The sentiment is also from DeNami Design! It's part of the "Holiday Greetings Stamp Set TR07." Thanks to Michele for letting me borrow that during inky time today!!!

So...are you ready to get out your favorite paper punch and enter the DeNami Design Challenge?!?! I hope so! It's TONS of FUN, and you could win a $25 gift certificate to their online store! YAY!

Thanks for stopping by!

Challenge Combo

Hello! Quick post today as I have to head out soon. My friend is an elementary school art teacher, and I'm volunteering in his class today! Should be FUN!

Today I'm sharing a card I made using the colors from the Play Date Cafe Creativity Challenge #27 and the sketch from Just Us Girls Challenge #31!!

And here's my creation:

The punch-bug image is from "Enjoy the Ride" (Papertrey Ink)----so super cute! And the set comes with a bunch of different sentiments that fit inside the license plate. For this card, I chose "Baby on Board." I think the green, blue, and cream color combo is a good neutral to use if you don't know whether the intended recipient of this card is having a boy or girl :)

I paper pieced the punch-bug (of course!!! love that technique!). The cream buttons are kind of glossy, so I thought they made cute headlights!

The sentiment is also from "Enjoy the Ride." Isn't it pretty?

There's still time to participate in both of these challenges, so GET INKY!!!! YAY! I'm off to get artsy with the kiddos! Have a great day!

Kazan's Sketch #47

Hey there! Today I'm sharing a card I created using Kazan's Sketch #47 over at 2 Sketches 4 You. Click HERE to see the original sketch and lots of wonderful creations from the DT and the challenge participants. If you're ever in a creative slump and need some inspiration, this sketch challenge is a fabulous place to start! And...this week is extra special because DeNami Design is the sponsor and is offering up a super sweet prize! I LOVE their products!!!

I stamped my little Leafy Sprig (DeNami Design) a bunch of times in VersaMark ink and then heat embossed them with "Powder" Zing! Embossing Powder (American Crafts). I heat embossed the Dots (Endless Creations) and the Demi Double Circle (DeNami Design) with "White" Zing! Embossing Powder. The white and aqua papers are metallic cardstock (The Paper Company), so they have lots of shimmer to them.

Here's a close-up:

Are you ready for the weekend? I'm hoping to have a very crafty weekend---especially since I just received some new stamps in the mail today!!! YAY!!!! Finally, something besides junk mail in the old mailbox! Ha! What are your plans?
