Hello Friend!

Hi there! I've been having TONS of FUN with my Paper Smooches stamps!!! Here's a card I created using "Friendly Flowers"!!!

I stamped the flowers directly onto a piece of patterned paper (Chiffon Journal by Bo Bunny) and then paper pieced them with a variety of papers from the new Indie Bloom collection by Basic Grey-----LOOOOVVVVEEEE this paper!!! And I think the mix of patterns really makes the flowers look ultra funky and fun!!! I totally want to make a bunch more of these and mix up different patterns on each one!!!

So...what do you think???

I'll be back in a little while with another Paper Smooches creation! Hope you're enjoying your Saturday!

Enjoy the Journey

Hello there! Courtney is hosting a challenge over at Practicing Creativity Designs! The prize: a Guest Designer spot for next month's release!!!! All you have to do is create a card using ANY Practicing Creativity Designs (PCD) stamp(s)! Click HERE for all of the details!

Here's what I came up with:

I used two of my favorite PCD stamp sets: "The Whole Cycle" and "Barefoot Summer" to create a festive Autumn scene. I also added that sweet little pumpkin (part of "Pumpkin Patch Border" from DeNami Design).

The aspen leaves are starting to fall from the trees around here, and I love to watch them dance in the wind. Last night my husband and I took a walk around our neighborhood and the leaves were all over the dirt roads, crunching under our feet. That's what inspired the idea for this card.

Here are a couple of close-ups:

I did a lot of paper piecing on this card, which took a bit of time, but I'm happy with the results. I love the texture and color that it adds.

My friend Rosemarie was recently commenting on how much she loves old-style bicycles. We're having dinner together this Saturday, so I think I'll give this card to her with a little gift (maybe some homemade chocolate covered pretzels)!

So...What do you think?

PCD's newest stamp sets release TONIGHT!!! I can't wait! Hurry on over there and check out the DT's creations! You are sure to be inspired!! And don't forget to make a card for the PCD Challenge!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope your week is off to a fabulous start!

Hello there! Challenge #7 over at Off the Wall Craftiness is to create a card/project using BIRDS. Here's what I came up with:

A few weeks ago I won "Card of the Week" over at 2 Sketches 4 You and part of the prize package included an incredible stack of BoBunny stickers from Shanna Vineyard! I have been itching to put these stickers to use since they arrived in the mail!!! The tag sentiment with the sweet little birdie is from one of these sticker sets ("Family Deerest"), and I thought it was the perfect starting point for this challenge!

The birdhouses (Hero Arts) are just stamped onto scraps of patterned paper and then cut out. A little ribbon, some twine, a button, and VOILA!

Hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by!

Challenge Combo

Hello! Quick post today as I have to head out soon. My friend is an elementary school art teacher, and I'm volunteering in his class today! Should be FUN!

Today I'm sharing a card I made using the colors from the Play Date Cafe Creativity Challenge #27 and the sketch from Just Us Girls Challenge #31!!

And here's my creation:

The punch-bug image is from "Enjoy the Ride" (Papertrey Ink)----so super cute! And the set comes with a bunch of different sentiments that fit inside the license plate. For this card, I chose "Baby on Board." I think the green, blue, and cream color combo is a good neutral to use if you don't know whether the intended recipient of this card is having a boy or girl :)

I paper pieced the punch-bug (of course!!! love that technique!). The cream buttons are kind of glossy, so I thought they made cute headlights!

The sentiment is also from "Enjoy the Ride." Isn't it pretty?

There's still time to participate in both of these challenges, so GET INKY!!!! YAY! I'm off to get artsy with the kiddos! Have a great day!

DeNami Design Theme Challenge #1

Happy Friday, blog friends! Today I'm sharing a card I made for the DeNami Design's "Spring" Challenge! Click HERE to find out how you can play along!!!

The sweet "Round Leafy Tree" image is from DeNami Design. I colored it with my Copic Sketch Markers and then added some sparkle with my Clear Stardust Glitter Pen. I colored the leaves green because I wanted a "Springy" look, but I love how you could change this up for Autumn by coloring the leaves red/orange/yellow. Here's a close-up:

I used the new "Background Basics: Woodgrain" (Papertrey Ink) to create the background! (I'm seeing panels of this in a variety of colors in my future!!!) I die-cut the scallop strips from patterned paper and vintage cream cardstock on my Epic Six machine using the Medium Scallop Die from PTI. Then I stamped the vintage cream scallop with "Background Basics: Text Style II" (PTI). I created the rick rack with the Rick Rack Die from PTI.

I added the button at the last minute because I felt like I needed one additional touch of green.

One more thing before I go...

Cute Little Onesie

Hello there! Just wanted to show you a cute little baby card I created recently for a friend!

I created that chic little baby outfit by stamping the "Folding Onesie" image (TooMuchFun Rubber Stamps) onto double-sided patterned paper (Bo Bunny), cutting it out, and folding it. Then, I stamped the bib (TooMuchFun Rubber Stamps) onto different patterned paper (Bo Bunny), cut it out, and adhered it to the onesie. Then I added those teeny tiny buttons at the bottom. This was so much fun to make!!! Imagine how many outfits you could make using different combinations of all of the fabulous patterned paper that's on the market today!! Wow!

The other really cool part about this onesie is that you can open it up and write in it or put a gift card in there!!! The onesie could even stand alone as a card or be used as a tag on a gift bag! I LOVE IT!!! (Now for a confession...I've had this stamp in my stash since the Rubber Stamp Expo last August, and this is the first time I've inked it up. Oh goodness. Have you ever done that---accumulated so many products that some of them go unused for months on end?)

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're having a GREAT week!
