DeNami Design Product Spotlight: Wheat Stalks

Hi there! It's Product Spotlight Day at DeNami Design! YAY!!! Today we're featuring the GORGEOUS "Wheat Stalks" image! It's the PERFECT stamp for creating BEAUTIFUL Autumn-themed cards/projects!

Here's my creation:

This image makes FABULOUS backgrounds and borders, but today I decided to pair it up with the ADORABLE little turkey and the "Thankful for You" sentiment to create my focal panel!

And...of course I couldn't resist adding some polka dots! I used the Medium Polka Dots image (SO SUPER HANDY) to create the polka dotty strip! FUN! And how about that cute little wooden button?!?! My sweet inky friend, Laura, gave me bag of those the last time we stamped together! She bought them at Michaels! (THANKS, Laura!!!!)

Be sure to head on over to the DeNami Design Blog to check out all of the FESTIVE creations my fellow DT gals and our talented Guest Designer, Tammy, have made! LOTS of FANTASTIC inspiration over there!!!!

Thanks for stopping by! Have an AMAZING day!!!

Birthday Tulips

I'm back with a second post today to share a card I made for my friend's birthday! I used this GORGEOUS color story from the Play Date Cafe Challenge:

...and this AWESOME sketch from Card Patterns Sketch Challenge:

Here's my creation:

When I was at Archivers yesterday having a FABULOUS time getting inky with my sweet friends, Michele and Laura, I saw these patterned papers and couldn't resist buying them!! They're from the new Lost and Found Two: Rosy collection! LOVE them!!! And since my friend's favorite flowers are tulips, I thought this Brushed Tulips image from DeNami was a perfect choice for the focal point. I don't have a coral marker, so I paper pieced the tulips with Desert Coral cardstock (Bazzill Basics) and used that same color for my scallops too! Here's a closer look:

I stamped the sentiment inside the card this time around! I just LOVE this whimsical font!

Well...that's it for me...for today at least! HA! Hope you have a FABULOUS weekend!!

Hello Friend!

Hi there! I've been having TONS of FUN with my Paper Smooches stamps!!! Here's a card I created using "Friendly Flowers"!!!

I stamped the flowers directly onto a piece of patterned paper (Chiffon Journal by Bo Bunny) and then paper pieced them with a variety of papers from the new Indie Bloom collection by Basic Grey-----LOOOOVVVVEEEE this paper!!! And I think the mix of patterns really makes the flowers look ultra funky and fun!!! I totally want to make a bunch more of these and mix up different patterns on each one!!!

So...what do you think???

I'll be back in a little while with another Paper Smooches creation! Hope you're enjoying your Saturday!

DeNami Product Spotlight: Small Grapes

Hey there! It's Product Spotlight Day at DeNami Design and this time around we're featuring the recently released C87 Small Grapes----SOOOO whimsical and SUPER sweet! AND...it's on sale for ten percent off this week!!! YAY!!!

I first handstamped the polka dots onto a lavender panel and used a punch to create a window. Then I set the panel on top of a blank card and lightly traced the outline of the punched shape in pencil, so I would know where to stamp my images.

The grapes are stamped over the Curly Garland Border to make them look like they're hanging from a vine. I also found these GORGEOUS Lavender Crystal Elements at my local Archivers!!! SWOON! AND...they fit PERFECTLY on the grapes!! So, I added several to each bunch to give them dimension---FUN!

The "Thankful For You" sentiment is also a new release from DeNami Design!!! I absolutely LOVE that font!!!

Thanks for stopping by! Remember to head on over to the DeNami Design Blog to check out the FABULOUS cards/projects my fellow DT members have created using this image!!!

Hibiscus

Hi there! It's Product Spotlight Day at DeNami Design!!! Today we're featuring THIS beauty:

And here's my creation:

The hibiscus reminds me of sunny days at the beach, so that's where my color inspiration came from! I LOVE these patterned papers from October Afternoon and Echo Park and thought they were the perfect fit! I wish I would have had a slightly darker shade of aqua ink (like the background on the larger polka dot paper) to stamp out the hibiscus image. I feel like it looks a little washed out (although if I tilt my computer screen back just a little, it looks much better...hmmm....).

So...what do you think? I hope you like my card for today!!! Be sure to head on over to the DeNami Design Blog to check out all of the FABULOUS ways my fellow DT gals have used this same stamp!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!!

Have you seen this cutie???

Hello! It's Product Spotlight time at DeNami Design and today we're featuring this cutie:

Isn't he the sweetest little thing?!?! And I think he's perfect for BABY cards! Here's my creation:

I thought it would be fun to give him some friends. So, I stamped him a bunch of times in a row (using masking and my handy dandy Stamp-A-Ma-Jig). Then, I stamped him several more times on scrap pieces of cardstock, cut them out, and layered them at different heights to add dimension.

I also used the Small Baby Script E68, which I absolutely LOOOVVEEE, and the Polka Dot Background N133!

Be sure to visit the DeNami Design Blog to see all of the creative ways my fellow DT gals and Guest Designer, Dana, used the Giraffe image too!!!

And keeping with that theme, I thought, what would be more delicate and dainty than a tiny bluebird perched on a paper pieced birdcage?!?! Ahhh....(And, I need to give a shout out to my fellow DT gals---I KNOW I've seen several of them place the birdcage on the pedestal image from DeNami Design and I just LOVE the way that looks, so I had to CASE the idea! Thanks, ladies!!)

DeNami Design Color Challenge #7

Good morning! It's time for a brand new challenge at DeNami Design! This time around it's a color challenge! Just look at this GORGEOUS combo chosen by our AMAZING DT member, Ayana!

Here's my take:

I've had this Birdhouse Trio P54 stamp for months and was so excited to FINALLY ink it up! Isn't it super cute?!?! I colored it with my Copic Sketch Markers and then added touches of glitter to all of the hearts (even the teeny ones in the grass)! LOVE the way it sparkles in person! (Note: The scalloped panel and the tab are navy blue, but kind of look black in my photo. And the Zigzag Stitch Border N111 and Polka Dot Background N133 were stamped in Timber Brown StazOn.)

Here's a closer look:

Be sure to stop by the DeNami Design Blog for all of the challenge details and LOTS of creative inspiration from the rest of the DT and our Guest Designer, Sue Lelli!

The Old Pickup

Hi there! Today I'm sharing a card I created based on the most recent Tuesday Trigger photo over at the Moxie Fab World! Here's the inspiration photo:

LOVE LOVE LOVE this color combo! To me, this looks like a porch on an old country farmhouse. That, in turn, made me think of old fashioned pickup trucks (I know...my mind works in mysterious ways *wink*). So, here's what I came up with:

That little pickup truck is part of the Cars and Trucks Stamp Set TR28 from DeNami Design---TOTAL CUTENESS! I stamped and colored it twice with Copic Sketch Markers, cut both images out, and popped them up for dimension. Then, I added some Crystal Lacquer to the body of the truck and some sparkle to the headlight with a Spica glitter pen! The embossed brick background is a new (to me) Tim Holtz embossing folder that I bought during my visit to Artsy (our new local stamp shop in Colorado)!

I hope you like my card for today and feel inspired to get inky!!! Remember to head on over to the Moxie Fab World for all of the Tuesday Trigger details and to check out what all of the talented participants have made!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Monochromatic Blog Hop with DeNami Design!

Hi there and welcome to your next stop on DeNami Design's Monochromatic Blog Hop!!! If you're on track you've arrived here from the ULTRA talented Paulina's blog. If not, no worries, you can start at the beginning by clicking HERE and heading to the DeNami Design Blog. I absolutely LOVE participating in these blog hops!!!! It's so inspiring to see everyone's creative takes on the various blog hop themes!!

Here's my monochromatic creation:

Color Box Queues make it super easy to achieve a monochromatic look! I used a Queue (seaglass, aqua, sky blue, cyan) and the Harlequin Border N112 (DeNami Design) to create the pattern on my focal panel. The "Just a Note" sentiment is part of a DeNami Trifle (All Occasion Stamp Set TR16)---such a great set to have on hand!

The Robin's Egg Blug Grosgrain ribbon from DeNami Design was a perfect match, and I finished my bow off with a button from DeNami's Aqua Boutique Buttons Collection!

I hope you like my card and are enjoying the hop so far! Remember to leave a comment on each participant's blog because DeNami is giving away THREE gift certificates to their on-line store (one to a random participant and TWO to random commenters)!!! Home Tweet Home

Hello! It's Product Spotlight Day at DeNami Design, and today we're featuring the super cute Spring Chicks Stamp Set PF38.

That adorable little birdhouse is my favorite image in this stamp set, so I decided to create a gift box using the birdhouse as my focal point. Have you ever tried DeNami Design's Gift and Favor templates? They come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and they're so super easy and lots of fun to use! Here, I used the Small Gift Box Template GF01.

I started by cutting the template along the solid lines. I flipped the template over, stamped the leaves from the Elegant Floral Stamp Set PF37 all over (leaving the top flap blank), and colored them with my Copic Sketch Markers. I stamped the top flap with Medium Polka Dots N136. Then, I scored the template along the dotted lines, applied double-sided tape to the side flaps, and assembled the box. Piece of cake!

I punched a fancy square from a scrap of white cardstock, stamped Leafy Sprig D108 in the center, added some faux stitching with a fine tip brown marker, and matted the square in blue. I stamped the birdhouse from the Spring Chicks Stamp Set PF38 on a white scrap, colored it with Copic Sketch Markers, fussy cut it and popped it up just below the Leafy Sprig.

The sentiment, Home Tweet Home D131, is a single stamp, but I inked each word up separately, so I could spread the words out around the front of the box.

I think this would make a sweet little package for a housewarming gift. It's not quite big enough to hold a gift card, but you could fill it with handmade magnets, tea bags, a cute keychain for the new house key, etc.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you like my creation! Be sure to visit the DeNami Design Blog to see what the rest of the talented DT made with the Spring Chicks Stamp Set PF38!!

Little Owl Family

Hi there! My husband and I are going to a couples baby shower this afternoon for our friends who are expecting their first baby in April! So, I thought I'd pop in really quickly to show you the card I made for them.

The invitation suggested that each couple bring a children's book for the baby's nursery, so we are taking along one of my very favorites: Little Hoot.

It's a really cute story about an owl who wants to go to bed at night (like all of his friends), but his parents insist on him staying up all night because he's an owl! HA!

I wanted my card to go along with the owl theme, so I created a little owl family using DeNami Design's Owls Stamp Set PF32. I also used Jen Del Muro's most recent "Sketch For You To Try":

I handstamped the plaid strip using the Three Line Border N128 and the polka dot background using Medium Polka Dots N136 (both from DeNami Design). The woodgrain behind the owls is from Papertrey Ink.

Hope you're having a fun weekend!!! Thanks for stopping by today!
