For You With Love

Happy Friday, blog friends! Popping in to share another card I whipped up while HAPPILY making a zillion little patterned paper hearts using the Small Heart Outline stamp from DeNami Design and the YUMMY Valentine's Day papers from the Love Me Collection by My Mind's Eye!!! I get a little carried away sometimes! HA!

For the focal point, I punched a Giga Scalloped Heart (Uchida), adhered a bunch of patterned paper hearts along the edge (popping up the polka dotty one), and stamped a sentiment in the center. Pretty cute, huh?!?!

Eeek!...a matching envelope!

Hi there! Just popping in really quickly to share a card and matching envelope I created for the most recent challenge at Young Crafters Unite!

I rarely create a coordinating envelope for my cards, but this challenge really got me excited about the idea again!!! It's such an easy thing to do and it adds that extra little something special to a project!!! FUN!

We have a few "bat friends" who like to fly in figure 8 patterns just beyond our back deck each night right around dusk. It's fun to watch them dive after flying insects and listen to their little "eeeks"! So, this card was inspired by them! I drew the eeek trail with a black Copic Multiliner pen. That idea was inspired by THIS card by Chari where she made a heart-shaped trail (THANKS, Chari!!!).

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a FABULOUS weekend!

BOO!

I have A BUNCH of stickers in my craft studio that have been neglected for WAAYYYYY TOO LONG! So, the most recent challenge at CAS-ual Fridays was the perfect opportunity to bust into the stash and put some of those stickers to work!

The temperatures are starting to cool off here in the mountains (especially in the evenings) and the aspen leaves are just beginning to turn. So, I've got Halloween on the brain (not to mention some serious cravings for Reese cups...mmmmmm!)

The spider web is a sticker that I believe was part of some blog candy that I won from my sweet friend, Paulina, well over a year ago!!! SOOOOO happy that this challenge forced me to give stickers another try!!!

So...what do you think?

There's still time to play along in CAS-ual Fridays Challenge 17! The challenge ends tonight (Aug 31st) at 11:59PM EST! Click HERE for all of the details and for LOTS of inspiration from their DT and the other participants!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

DeNami Product Spotlight: Rainbow

Hey there! It's Product Spotlight Day at DeNami Design!!! Today we're featuring the SUPER FUN Rainbow image!!!

You all know how much I LOVE polka dots, right?!?! So, I couldn't resist making a polka dotty rainbow:

I simply stamped the Polka Dot Background onto Magenta, Golden Tangerine, Leaf Green, and Sky Blue cardstock. Then, I stamped the rainbow image over the polka dots and cut out the colorful arches. Next, I stamped the Rainbow image onto my blank card, ran my adhesive tape runner all over the image and adhered the colored pieces. I added some Small Clouds stamped on white cardstock to each end of the rainbow. I popped them up for some fun dimension!

For my second card, I wanted to showcase an alternative use for the Rainbow image. Here, I used it to create a slice of watermelon!!! Yes, you read that correctly!! Check this out:

I stamped the Rainbow twice in VersaMark ink...once on Leaf Green cardstock and once on Magenta cardstock. Then, I cut out the magenta portion leaving off the outside arch and adhered it to the green rainbow. I cut straight across the bottom of the rainbow and then used part of a scallop circle punch to create a "bite" out of the watermelon. Then, I stamped the seeds in black. It was SO EASY, and I think it turned out pretty sweet!

The lime and magenta background were created with the Three Line Border stamp (LOVE THIS!!), and I thought the sentiment, "You're Sweet," was perfect!

I hope you like my creations for today! Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to head on over to the DeNami Design Blog to check out what my fellow DT gals and our Guest Designer, Nicki, have created!!!! You will LOVE their projects!!!

DeNami Product Spotlight

Hi there! It's Product Spotlight Day at DeNami Design, and today (just in time for Mother's Day) we're featuring this elegant "Mother" stamp!

Now, I have to say right away that this card is SO PRETTY in person, but I was really unhappy with the way it photographed. I think it's the glitter that makes it a bit tricky. If anyone has any tips they'd be willing to pass along for photographing cards with glitter, I'd be really grateful!

I used a glue pad to stamp the Swirl onto a Charcoal Gray panel and then added Extra Fine Glitter. "Mother" is heat embossed in Powder Blue Zing! And the Charcoal panels are matted in shimmery Iridescent Blue Ice Cardstock---LOTS of sparkle in person!!!

I hope you like my card for today and feel inspired to get inky! For some more FANTASTIC ideas head on over to the DeNami Design Blog and check out what the rest of the DT gals and our Guest Designer have created!!! WOWZERS! You will NOT be disappointed!

Have a GREAT day!

DeNami Design Color Challenge #7

Good morning! It's time for a brand new challenge at DeNami Design! This time around it's a color challenge! Just look at this GORGEOUS combo chosen by our AMAZING DT member, Ayana!

Here's my take:

I've had this Birdhouse Trio P54 stamp for months and was so excited to FINALLY ink it up! Isn't it super cute?!?! I colored it with my Copic Sketch Markers and then added touches of glitter to all of the hearts (even the teeny ones in the grass)! LOVE the way it sparkles in person! (Note: The scalloped panel and the tab are navy blue, but kind of look black in my photo. And the Zigzag Stitch Border N111 and Polka Dot Background N133 were stamped in Timber Brown StazOn.)

Here's a closer look:

Be sure to stop by the DeNami Design Blog for all of the challenge details and LOTS of creative inspiration from the rest of the DT and our Guest Designer, Sue Lelli!

Special Friend Blend

Hello! For today's card I used this DELICATE and PRETTY color combo from the CR84FN23 Challenge:

AND...this FANTASTIC sketch from Card Patterns Challenge #110:

Here's what I came up with:

I used Tea For Two from Papertrey Ink and some Anna Griffin patterned paper that I've had in my stash for YEARS (literally)! I created the tea bag tag by stamping "For You" (from Friendship Jar Fillers by PTI) onto a scrap of cardstock, inking the edges, and attaching it to a piece of cream embroidery floss. Then, when I paper pieced the tea pot, I tucked one end of the floss behind the patterned paper piece.

A dear friend of mine requested an assortment of cards to give as a gift to one of her friends. This is one of the cards for that set. I hope she likes it.

Thanks for stopping by today!

On a personal note: Last week my sister-in-law, her husband and our 3 nephews who live in Indiana spent their Spring Break with us! We had a TON of FUN----despite a few bumps in the road (one lost video camera, one dislocated and broken wrist, one cracked windshield, and one minor case of acute mountain sickness)! I think they're hooked on the mountains now, though, and are already talking about "next time!" HA! Here are a couple of photos from when Tony and I took the boys skiing/snowboarding at Copper Mountain:

DeNami Sketch Challenge #7

Hi there! It's time for a brand new challenge at DeNami Design! This time around it's a sketch challenge!! Check out this beauty created by the incredibly talented Michele!!!!

And here's my interpretation:

Mimi's bathtub reminds me of an old fashioned clawfoot tub. So, I wanted to create a vintage tiled floor to go along with it. I used the Harlequin Border N112 and black ink on pink cardstock to try to achieve this look. How did I do?

For the bubbles, I used my Copic Sketch Markers to add touches of Cool Shadow and Blush. Then, I glittered them up to make them sparkle!

This sketch is so versatile and full of possibilities! Hop on over to the DeNami Design Blog to check out the FABULOUS samples created by the DT gals and for all of the details on how YOU can participate!! I hope you'll play along with us!! Can't wait to see what you create!!!!

With All My Heart

Hello, blog friends! It's Product Spotlight Day at DeNami Design, and today we are featuring a super sweet sentiment:
With all my heart (F189)!

How about that font?! Ahhh...swoon...so whimsical!

I created the plaid panel using Rose Bud and Angel Pink Memento inks and my handy dandy Three Line Border N128 stamp!!! I TOLD YOU I {HEART} that stamp!!!

And let's take a closer look at Chickie:

If you're like me, then you LOVE the DeNami chickies with all YOUR heart! Here I used the Large Chickie I60. I stamped him onto pale yellow cardstock, added some color to him with Copic Sketch Markers, and jazzed him up with some Citrone Sparklets Glitter (DeNami Design)! That citrone color is just perfect for adding sparkle to any of the DeNami chickies!!! Then, I created a string of hearts for him using the newly released Hearts Stamp Set PF43!!! He's pretty stinkin' cute, huh?!?! He looks just like the Valentine Chickie C69 (only much BIGGER!)!

I purchased a pack of these heart doilies at Michaels. They were in the Valentine's Day baking section. I'm really diggin' the doily craze these days! Thinkin' I might have to buy some round doilies as well!

I hope this sweet little creation makes you smile! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think! I truly appreciate your feedback "with all my heart" *wink*!!!

And be sure to stop by the DeNami Design Blog to see the fabulous cards/projects the rest of the Design Team has created using this featured product!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday!
