Chickie Couture - Part V

Hey there! I'm back today with my latest "Chickie Couture" feature for DeNami Design! This time around I was inspired by the upcoming 4th of July holiday!!!

It's my pleasure to introduce to you...Uncle Sam Chickie!

I drew his hat, goatee, and bow tie on white cardstock. Then I colored them, cut them out and used them to dress up the Large Chickie image. Here's a closer look:

I added my Uncle Sam Chickie to a 4th of July themed card decked out with the "God Bless America" sentiment and a bunch of Small Starburst images, which make the perfect fireworks! A few rhinestones, a few touches of glitter, and a bit of twine and my project is complete!

I hope you enjoyed today's feature as much as I enjoyed creating it!!! Now how about a GIVEAWAY?!?! Leave a comment on this post for a chance to win a prize package including one Large Chickie stamp, one "you're tweet" sentiment stamp, and one Quickie Glue Pen!!! You have until Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 11:59PM PST to comment! I'll post the winner here on my blog on Thursday, June 13th! Good luck!!

Patterned Paper Blog Hop With DeNami Design

Hello and welcome to your next stop on DeNami Design's Patterned Paper Blog Hop! If you're on track, you've arrived here from Greta's GORGEOUS blog!!! If not...no worries...just head on over to the DeNami Design Blog to start from the beginning!

I admit that I am totally addicted to patterned paper and have quite the collection in my studio!!! And patterned paper goes hand-in-hand with one of my FAVORITE stamping techniques...paper piecing!!! So, without further delay, here's my creation for today's hop:

I had so much fun paper piecing those flip flops that I just couldn't resist making a second card!!! I needed a 50th birthday card for my SIL. She loves summertime---hanging out by the pool, living in her flip flops. So, here's what I came up with:

...and I created a customized sentiment for the inside using Microsoft Word:

I hope she gets a kick out it!!!

Thanks for hopping along with us today! Be sure to leave a comment on each participant's blog along the way for a chance to win a gift certificate to DeNami Design's online store!!! You have until June 10, 2013 at 11:59PM PST to comment! GOOD LUCK!!!

Pin-spired With DeNami Design

Hello there! Welcome to DeNami Design's first Pin-spired post for June 2013! Here's the inspiration photo (which I LOVE!!!):

The skull and crossbones reminded me of pirates. I was also inspired by the colors and nautical elements in the photo. Here are my creations:

I purchased the red and white striped straws a few months ago and was so excited to put them to use! These were super simple to create and would be easy to mass-produce for a birthday party, shower, etc. I placed the straws in mini-doughnuts (confession...I was totally craving doughnuts and this seemed like the perfect excuse to buy some....HA!), but you could also use them to decorate cupcakes, brownies, or any variety of treats!

Well, that's it for me for today! Be sure to stop by the DeNami Design Blog to see the FABULOUS projects my fellow DT gals created using this same "Pin-spired" photo!!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Graduation Spotlight

Hey there! Are you ready for another Product Spotlight Day at DeNami Design?!?! It's graduation season, and today we're featuring a mini stamp set that's perfect for creating not only cards and treats for graduates but also for jazzing up the scrapbook pages you're putting together to document these special milestones!

When I think of graduation I always picture everyone throwing their caps up in the air at the end of the ceremony. That was the inspiration for my card today.

I stamped the clouds, masked them with post-it notes, and inked up the sky with distress ink. Then, I stamped the caps and paper pieced them with red cardstock. I popped three of the caps up with foam adhesive to add some dimension. You could easily change up the cap colors to coordinate with the intended recipient's school colors. FUN!

The Graduation Set CL-CB004 is on sale for TEN PERCENT OFF this week! And...cardstock, ribbon, and glassine bags are 20 PERCENT OFF!! Click HERE to shop! And be sure to head on over to the DeNami Design Blog to see how my fellow DT gals used this same stamp set!

Thanks for stopping by!
