Feel Better Soon

Today I'm sharing a card I made using this fun sketch from the most recent Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge:

Here's my take:

I ADORE that little bandaid image from Paper Smooches!!! I'd say it's one of my all-time favorites! So super duper cute!

My mom is having knee surgery next week, so I'll be sending this to her to cheer her up. I think she's going to love it!

Well, off to shovel. We got about a foot of snow overnight, and it's starting to snow again. LOVE IT!!!

Today I'm participating in Lawnscaping's 100th Challenge with a birthday card for my cousin, Christa, who will be turning 40 at the end of February. I used LOTS of super cute and happy Lawn Fawn goodies on this one! I hope it makes her smile!

The little birdies and balloons are from the Hello Sunshine stamp set, and as it turns out the numbers and letters from Sally's ABCs fit quite nicely inside them. I like how the addition of the "40th" adds a personal touch to the card. And since it's not a celebration without some sparkle, I added some shimmer to the balloons with a clear Wink Of Stella pen.

Here's a look at the inside:

I used Sally's ABCs to stamp out the sentiment and then added a heart die-cut from the same patterned paper that appears on the front of the card to tie it all together.

Thanks for stopping!

My brother, Steve, will be celebrating his 40th birthday at the end of this month, so I turned to one of my favorite stamp sets for such an occasion, WTF by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.

Inside the card, I stamped the "Who's turning forty?" sentiment. I hope my brother gets a kick out of it.

My layout is from Freshly Made Sketches 173. They always offer such fantastic sketches! I love the fun angles in this one.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

Love, Smiles and Friendship

Hello there! Popping in today to share a couple of Valentines I made for Lawnscaping Challenge 99: Clean And Simple.

I decided to ink up the super cute little birdies from Lawn Fawn's "Science of Love" stamp set.

HA! They totally make me smile!!! Love them!

And while I was at it...I figured I should make a pink version too:

I added sparkle to the hearts with a clear Wink Of Stella pen and Glossy Accents to the birdies' glasses. FUN! My layout was inspired by THESE CARDS that my crafty friend, Deb, shared on the DeNami Design Blog recently. I am a BIG fan of Deb's CAS style! She's so talented!

Did you have a nice weekend? Last night I had lots of fun hanging out with my neighbor friends. And today I went on a beautiful hike with my friend, Donna.

Thanks for visiting!

Monster Valentines

Hey there, crafty peeps! I'm up on the DeNami Design Blog today featuring a cute and simple set of Valentines using the brand new CR02 Monster Love Clear Stamp Set!!! I'd LOVE for you to stop over there and check out my creations.

Here's a peek at one of them:

Those adorable little monsters just melt my heart!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Hello there! Today I'm sharing a card I made using Sweet Sunday Sketch 254. Here's the sketch:

And here's my take:

I'll be mailing this off to my nephew for his birthday. He's studying at the Naval Academy, and it's his dream to fly (which was the inspiration behind this creation).

On a more personal note: Have you ever had one of "those days" when you're crafting? You know...when you cover your patterned paper panel with adhesive and just as you're about to adhere it to your card it flips out of your hands and lands (yep, sticky side down) on the carpet right where your cat typically hangs out??? Ugh. And then you go to stick your focal panel on and it's totally crooked and you try to remove it ever so carefully, but still manage to tear a teeny part of the card base??? And then you go to stamp your "Handmade By" stamp on the back and it's upside down??? Yeah...I was having one of "those days" when I made this card. Somehow I survived, and I completed the card, and now I can look back and laugh at myself. HA! Shweew! Tomorrow is a new day!

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps: On This Journey Together (Unity/Authentique), sentiment from Happy Trails (Papertrey Ink)
