Bestest Wishes

Hello there! A couple of weekends ago I spent three full days stamping away at The Craft House in Kansas with 16 amazing friends!!! I loved every minute of it! Lots of laughs, tons of inspiration, and so much fun! I hope to have a chance to do it all again soon! Spending time with these girls is soooo good for the soul!

During the retreat I had a chance to borrow some fabulous MFT goodies including: Birthday Wishes & Balloons Stamp Set, Make A Wish Stamp Set, Die-namics Birthday Candles, and Die-namics Wonky Stitched Rectangle STAX. These were the perfect ingredients for creating a birthday card for a special friend. I put the final touches on the card a couple of days ago. Here's how it turned out:

We were surrounded by rainbows at The Craft House, so I couldn't resist using a rainbow color palette for the candles on this card. The flames were die-cut and then colored with Copic markers. I also added a touch of sparkle to each flame with a Clear Wink Of Stella glitter pen.

I'm playing along with the Seize the Birthday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Hope your week is off to a great start!

Thanks for visiting!

Hello! Popping in today with a card I made for Little Tangles Challenge 72. Here's the sketch:

The sentiment is from Kindness Matters, one of my all-time favorite stamp sets from Neat & Tangled! So sweet!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hope you're having a fabulous week!

Hello! I'm up on the DeNami Design Blog today sharing a fun little pillow box I created using a couple of the newest stamps from DeNami Design plus the handy dandy GF06 Small Pillow Box Template.

My mom’s birthday is coming up, and I needed to package up a gift card that we bought for her. My mom loves strawberry daiquiris (especially in the summertime), so I thought it would be cute to decorate my packaging with the daiquiri image from the NEW CL-PF74 Happy Cocktails set and the smiley strawberry image from the NEW CL-PF68 Happy Summer Fruit set. Here’s how it turned out:

To start, I cut the GF06 Small Pillow Box Template along the solid lines and scored along the dotted lines. Then, I flipped the template over, stamped the images and added color with markers. I die-cut the round tag from the PPPD16 Pretty Pink Posh Mini Tags Die Set from PC35 Magenta cardstock. I die-cut a smaller circle from white cardstock, stamped the daiquiri image, added color with markers and adhered it to the top of the magenta tag with foam tape. I assembled the pillow box, inserted the gift card, and then tied on the tag with some baker’s twine. To finish, I added some sparkle with a glitter pen. Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my project for today, and I hope this fun packaging makes my mom smile!

Have a fabulous week!

My oldest nephew recently graduated from Officer Candidates School for the U.S. Marine Corps. I wanted to make him an extra special card for the occasion. Here's what I came up with:

I started with a 5.25" x 4" panel of kraft cardstock. I die-cut the map shape using the What The Doodle: Map Die from Papertrey Ink, stamped the sentiment below it and adhered the panel onto a white A2 card base (completely covering the base with Scor-Tape). This left me with a negative space map outline to "fill in." I die-cut the map three more times (from red, white and blue cardstocks). I layered the three maps on top of each other and held them together with some washi tape. Then, I cut them (all at the same time) to create the blue section on the left and the stripes on the right. I used a tiny star from the Stitched Labels Dies by Pretty Pink Posh and die-cut the stars into the blue section. Then, I die-cut seven stars from white cardstock to fit into those spots. I then placed the colored cardstock pieces of my map into place within the negative space to fill it all in.

To finish, I added a touch of clear sparkle to the stars with a glitter pen.

I hope you like my creation for today! I was pretty excited about how this turned out. I hope Jake likes it!
