Masculine

Hello! Today I'm sharing a card I made for Addicted to CAS Challenge 142: Masculine.

Our nephew just completed Plebe Summer at the Naval Academy. I created this card to go along with a care package we're going to send to him. I love this Flag Sketch image by Tim Holtz. And with three nephews in the military now I'm sure it's going to get a lot of use ;)

I kept it super simple and let the image take center stage. I hope my nephew likes it!

Thanks for visiting!!!

Rainbow Wishes

Popping in today with a card I made for the August 2018 Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge.

I absolutely ADORE the Rainbow Wishes stamps and dies from Concord and 9th!!! They're so whimsical and fun, and creating with them makes me so happy! I'm looking forward to making a bunch of cards with these products!

I die-cut the rainbow and cloud from scraps of patterned paper and colored cardstock. The scripty "bright" was die-cut from the new Neutrals Glitter Paper Pack (C9). LOVE!!! Sooooo sparkly!!! (Oh...and I switched out the dot on the "i" with a heart die-cut from the same die set :)

Hope you're having a fabulous weekend!

Thanks for stopping by!!!

Happy Birthday

Today I'm sharing a card I made using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches Challenge 349. Here's the sketch:

And here's my take:

It's tough to see in the photo but I scored lines above and below the sentiment (before adhering the rose and leaves) to represent the strip that's across the card front in the sketch. Here's a closer look:

I'll be snail mailing this to my mom for her birthday later this month. I hope she loves it!

Have a great weekend!

Ph.inisheD.

Our neighbors' daughter recently earned her PhD, so tonight we're heading over there for a celebration dinner. I had been cruising around online looking for ideas for graduation gifts when I saw some shirts and mugs that had "Ph.inisheD." printed on them. I thought it was SO CLEVER! So much so that it inspired this card (which I will give to Dr. Katiekins this evening):

This was a tricky one to photograph, but I'm really pleased with how it turned out in real life :)

I used the Bold and Brushy Stamp Set AND the Bold and Brushy Uppercase Stamp Set from Concord and 9th to create the sentiment. I embossed the Ph.D. in gold to jazz it up a bit.

After I stamped out the sentiment, I die-cut the panel with Avery Elle's Wonky Stitches die. To finish it off, I popped the focal panel up onto a card base covered with striped patterned paper.

What do you think?

I hope you like my card for today! I'll be entering this into the most recent Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Use A Die And/Or Punch.

Have a fantastic weekend!!!

New Neighbor Pup

Today I'm sharing a card I made for our neighbor friends' new pup. He's so super cute! He and Pepper had a brief meet up/romp around last week :) And today we were going for a walk with him, so I bought one of Pepper's favorite toys (in mini size), made some homemade peanut butter and pumpkin dog treats, and made this card to give to him :)

That's meant to be Pepper doing her play bow---welcoming Gus to the mountainhood :)
