Lil' Inker Designs Mini Release Blog Hop

Hello there and welcome to your next stop on the Lil' Inker Designs Mini Release Blog Hop! I am super excited to be a part of this hop showcasing fabulous new LID products! On a recent Stamping Away retreat with 16 of my crafty girlfriends we were each given one of the amazing new sentiment stamps from the sweet and generous Laura Pryor of LID. Thank you for your kindness, Laura!!!

This is the stamp I received:

I absolutely LOVE it!!!

And here's the card I made for today's hop:

I stamped the sentiment in Melon Fresh Ink and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. It's such a beautiful sentiment---I really wanted it to take center stage, so I kept the rest of my card very CAS. Planning to make an entire set of these cards in a variety of colors.

Be sure to leave a comment on each stop of the hop for a chance to win a prize! Visit the Lil' Inker Designs Blog for all of the details.

Your next stop on the hop is my talented friend, Jen Carter.
I can't wait to see what she's created!

Kind

Today I'm sharing a card I created for Freshly Made Sketches 281. I always love playing along with their challenges! So inspiring! Here's the sketch:

And here's what I came up with:

...a super CAS thank you card featuring Concord & 9th's Kindhearted Stamp Set.

I drew some light pencil lines to help guide my stamping of the hearts. I added the black outline to several of the hearts to tie everything together and add some interest. After placing the vellum sentiment flag I realized it need a little something more, so I die-cut some small hearts from Lawn Fawn and glued them on top of the vellum. This also gave me a few places where I could hide some adhesive to keep the flag from flapping around (it's folded over the stamped panel and adhered to the back of the panel----sandwiched between the panel and the card base, but I liked the idea of just a tiny bit of adhesive on the front side as well).

I hope you like my card for today.

Thanks for stopping by!

National Craft Month Celebration Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to your next stop on the National Craft Month Celebration Blog Hop! I am so excited and honored to be a part of this event! A big THANK YOU to Nicole from Right At Home for organizing the party and for inviting me to join in on the fun!!!

My card features the new Make Something Beautiful stamp set from Right At Home. LOVE it!!!

To start I die-cut a 4.25" x 5.5" rectangle from white cardstock. I repeatedly stamped the paint tubes in a fun pattern, added some color with markers, and adhered the stamped panel to a white A2 card base. I did a little bit of surgery on the sentiment stamp so that I could easily stamp the word "Beautiful" in Merman ink and the rest of the words in black. I adhered the sentiment panel with foam adhesive squares to add some dimension. I stamped the paintbrush, colored it with markers, cut it out, and then added it to the panel as shown. To finish off I used a glitter pen to add some sparkle to the colored parts of the paint tubes, the word "Beautiful" and the tip of the paintbrush.

Here's a closer look:

How would you like a chance to win this stamp set? Well...Right At Home is having a giveaway on their blog! Just hop along and leave comments at each stop for a chance to win. YAY!

Rainbow Thanks

Today I'm playing along with the most recent CAS on Sunday Challenge: "Sentiment" (use only a sentiment: no image).

I recently purchased the Hinged Thanks Designer Die from Essentials By Ellen and this was a great opportunity to put it to use! Here's what I came up with:

I adhered colored cardstock strips under each letter to create a happy rainbow. Here's a closer look:

I had so much fun making this one that I couldn't resist making another (very similar---just changed up the patterned paper).

I am totally smitten with this die and can't wait to make more cards (and even some tags) with it! I have several ideas I want to try out.

Hope you liked my cards for today.

Thanks for stopping by!

Happier Than A Seagull

Playing along with CAS(E) This Sketch 213:

Here's my take:

I absolutely ADORE that little seagull with the chip in his mouth! And the sentiment: "May you be happier than a seagull with a stolen chip" totally makes me smile. Super fun!

My SIL works for the National Aviary, so she loves all things bird-related. She has a birthday coming up, so I'll be sending this off to her very soon. Hope she likes it!

Thanks for visiting!
