Circle Cards

Hello, crafty friends! I'm up on the DeNami Design Blog today! This week our design team is sharing “pastel cards.” Such a perfect theme for spring!

For my project I created two circle-shaped cards featuring the NEW CL-C110 Latte Owl. Isn’t he/she sweet?!?!

I die-cut two 3” circles from white cardstock and scored one of the circles 1” down from the top. I die-cut a 2 5/8” circle from celery cardstock, heat embossed the N109 Polka Dot Border in gold across the bottom, and stamped the sentiment about ½” above the polka dots. I adhered the celery circle to the center of the white circle (the one that was not scored) and added a die-cut scallop circle frame around it. I stamped the CL-C110 Latte Owl onto a separate sheet of white cardstock, added color with markers, fussy cut it out and adhered it as shown. To finish, I used some strong adhesive to adhere the scored circle to the back of the decorated front panel. Ta-da! A cute little circle-shaped card!

Birthday Stripes

Hello there! I'm up on the DeNami Design Blog today. This week our design team is featuring neutral or monochromatic cards. My sister-in-law’s birthday is coming up, so I decided to create a card for her using four different shades of her favorite color: purple. Here’s what I came up with:

The N128 Three Line Border stamp continues to be one of my go-to stamps from DeNami Design. I absolutely LOVE it!! To make this card, I simply inked up the N128 Three Line Border and stamped it repeatedly, switching to a new shade of purple ink every few times and working my way from the lightest shade of purple to the darkest. Then, I inked up the Happy Birthday sentiment from the TR16 All Occasion Sentiments Stamp Set in the darkest shade of purple and stamped it in the upper left-hand corner. To finish, I tied on some hemp cord and added some sparkle to the stripes at the bottom of the card.

What do you think???

I hope you like my project for today and feel inspired to get inky!

Ink: Shades Of Purple (Altenew)
Cardstock: White (Papertrey Ink)

Thank You

Today I'm sharing a card that uses a new (to me) technique inspired by Joyce Mehrberg's card over at Happy Little Stampers April CASE The Designer Challenge. You can see Joyce's gorgeous card by clicking HERE. I absolutely love the artsy results of this technique and can't wait to try it out with additional stamp sets and dies.

Here's my creation:

And here's a closer look:

I also want to give a shout-out to Jennifer McGuire for the helpful video on how to get clear stamped images with new stamps and dye inks. This was my first time inking up the Painted Butterflies Stamp Set, and the information Jennifer shared in her video made a huge difference in the results I got when making this card. Thank you, Jennifer!

Stamps: Painted Butterflies (Altenew)
Ink: Cool Summer Night (Altenew), VersaMark (Tsukineko)

Wedding Congrats

Happy Monday! I'm up on the DeNami Design Blog today! This week our design team is featuring projects with a wedding theme. DeNami Design has a wide variety of images in their collection for creating whimsical and elegant cards for weddings and engagements. I used a combination of three stamp sets on my card for today.

I started with a blank piece of white cardstock and then went to town stamping the cake, hearts, flowers, and doves. I didn’t follow any particular pattern, I just had fun with it. Then, I took a rectangle die and die-cut a portion of this stamped panel. I colored in parts of each image with markers and added a touch of sparkle with a glitter pen. I matted the stamped rectangle with a 4.25” x 5.5” black cardstock rectangle, and adhered that to an A2 white card base. To finish, I die-cut a stitched label, stamped the “congrats” sentiment onto it, and adhered it to the upper right-hand corner of the card.

Here’s a closer look:

I had so much fun making this card! I hope you like it!!!

Have a wonderful week!
