Birthday Tulips

I'm back with a second post today to share a card I made for my friend's birthday! I used this GORGEOUS color story from the Play Date Cafe Challenge:

...and this AWESOME sketch from Card Patterns Sketch Challenge:

Here's my creation:

When I was at Archivers yesterday having a FABULOUS time getting inky with my sweet friends, Michele and Laura, I saw these patterned papers and couldn't resist buying them!! They're from the new Lost and Found Two: Rosy collection! LOVE them!!! And since my friend's favorite flowers are tulips, I thought this Brushed Tulips image from DeNami was a perfect choice for the focal point. I don't have a coral marker, so I paper pieced the tulips with Desert Coral cardstock (Bazzill Basics) and used that same color for my scallops too! Here's a closer look:

I stamped the sentiment inside the card this time around! I just LOVE this whimsical font!

Well...that's it for me...for today at least! HA! Hope you have a FABULOUS weekend!!

We don't have Archivers here, in New Jersey, but it sounds really cool! And it's neat you got to hang out with my teamie, Michele. She's so sweet!

I like your card, Lisa: it's part CAS, part vintage. Thanks for playing with us at The Play Date CAfe!
