One Layer Baby Card

Hi there! A super quick post to share a one-layer card that I made for the most recent One-Layer Wednesday Challenge! The theme was baby cards! I inked up some of my favorite DeNami Design stamps, and here's what I came up with:

Green and Pink...

Hey there! Here's a card I created for the most recent One Layer Wednesday Challenge! The theme this time around is: "Green, Pink, and Never Seen Ink." HA! LOVE IT! Especially since I have WAY TOO MANY stamp sets that have fallen into this category lately.

This challenge was the perfect opportunity to finally ink up Delightful Doilies from Papertrey Ink! I LOVE the images in this set...just haven't had a chance to ink them up until now!

The sentiment is from the All Occasion Sentiments Stamp Set TR16 by DeNami Design! Such a beautiful font...don't you think?!

I hope you like my creation for today! Thanks for stopping by!

You Always Lift My Spirits

Yesterday I posted a card that I had made with one of the two sets I won from Practicing Creativity Designs. Well, today I made a card using the OTHER set that I won, Look Up! Additions, and a couple of images from You're Dandy and For the Love of Dots (both by Practicing Creativity Designs as well).

I used the sketch below from the most recent One Layer Wednesday (OLW) Challenge! I'm pretty much addicted to these OLW challenges now!!! They are so much FUN, and I'm really determined to get better at creating one-layer cards!!! Just think of the money I could save on postage if I could just master this technique!!! HA! Someday!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a chance to get inky this weekend!!!!

Sentiments of Love

The most recent One Layer Wednesday (OLW) Challenge is to create a one layer card using sentiments ONLY---no images! Here's what I came up with:

I masked off a heart shape, inked up the newly released Love Sentiments Stamp Set PF42 from DeNami Design, and went to town! I used my handy dandy Stamp-a-ma-jig (EK Success) to line up the sentiments within the heart.

So...what do you think?

Thanks for stopping by today!! I hope you're having a FANTASTIC weekend! GO STEELERS!!!

Yellow

Hi there! The most recent One Layer Wednesday Challenge is to use YELLOW! Here's what I came up with:

That's the new little Giraffe E140 from DeNami Design! Isn't he ADORABLE?!?! I masked him off and then stamped the Polka Dot Background N133 in Thatched Straw VersaMagic---I'm totally in love with this ink color these days!!

I used my Martha Stewart Scoring Board to score the lines above and below the Small Baby Script E68 (DeNami Design). I really like how it adds a clean and finished look to the overall design.

I embossed just the bottom portion of the card. I recently saw Christina MacLaren do this on a set of thank you cards she made, and I really liked the effect. So, I thought I'd give it a try! (Thanks for the inspiration, Christina!)
That's all for today! Hop on over to Susan's blog, Simplicity by Late Blossom, to find out how you can play along in this challenge and to see all of the amazing cards the other participants have created!

One Layer Holiday Card

Hello! Here's the card I made for the most recent One Layer Wednesday Challenge!!!

I used the "Curly Garland Border K77" from DeNami Design and just stamped it in different colored inks and in different lengths. I added the "Mini Ornaments PF22" (DeNami Design) to the ends of each curl, colored them with my Copic Sketch Markers, and added some sparkle with a Clear Stardust Gelly Roll pen (Sakura). Then, I borrowed the sentiment (from the "Holiday Greetings Stamp Set TR07" by DeNami Design) from my sweet friend, Michele, and stamped it at the bottom.

This was a really simple and fun card to make! I'm planning to make several more similar to this one to send to Rhonda's group! She's accepting cards until November 30th. You can read more about Rhonda's group by clicking HERE.

Inspired by Nature

Hey there! The most recent One Layer Wednesday Challenge was to create a card that was inspired by nature.

It was a GORGEOUS, sunny weekend here in Colorado, so my husband and I took full advantage and hiked up to Rogers Pass. It was 12-miles round trip and an elevation gain of about 3,500 feet. But, let me tell you...it was so worth it----the views were breathtaking (and full of inspiration)!

This photo (from our hike) inspired my card:

And here are a few more photos from our hike:
