Little Hearts

As soon as I saw CAS(E) This Sketch 108 I knew I wanted to try creating some heart "stripes" with DeNami Design's brand new Little Hearts image. Here's the sketch:

And here's my creation:

I cut a 4" x 5.25" panel from white cardstock and drew light pencil lines every 3/4". Using a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig tool I stamped the Little Hearts image repeatedly, starting in the center and working outwards and rotating the image 180 degrees each time. I colored the hearts with markers, erased the pencil lines and ta-da....heart stripes.

After all of that effort I decided I didn't want to cover it up, so I chose vellum for my focal panel. I heat embossed the sentiment in gold (just because it seems that everything needs a touch of gold glam these days), adhered a couple of fussy cut heart envelopes, and finished it all off with a coral ribbon bow.

I'm really excited about how this turned out, and I hope you like it too!

Well, I better run. My neighbors are returning late this evening after being away on a 5-month sailing adventure. I'm going to take some eggs, fresh fruit, and bagels over and stash them in their fridge so they'll be able to have some yummy breakfast tomorrow morning.

Have a GREAT day!!!
