Dreams

Hello there! Today I'm sharing a card I made using Sweet Sunday Sketch 254. Here's the sketch:

And here's my take:

I'll be mailing this off to my nephew for his birthday. He's studying at the Naval Academy, and it's his dream to fly (which was the inspiration behind this creation).

On a more personal note: Have you ever had one of "those days" when you're crafting? You know...when you cover your patterned paper panel with adhesive and just as you're about to adhere it to your card it flips out of your hands and lands (yep, sticky side down) on the carpet right where your cat typically hangs out??? Ugh. And then you go to stick your focal panel on and it's totally crooked and you try to remove it ever so carefully, but still manage to tear a teeny part of the card base??? And then you go to stamp your "Handmade By" stamp on the back and it's upside down??? Yeah...I was having one of "those days" when I made this card. Somehow I survived, and I completed the card, and now I can look back and laugh at myself. HA! Shweew! Tomorrow is a new day!

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh if you saw my crafty space you'd get how I have "those days' often... (no carpet, but fill in the blank). Love this card, oh my sense of wanderlust is growing... as I spend way too much time surfing Instagram of nomadic people.

Lisa, I have crafting days like that all the time. But thankfully I don't have a cat and my dog is the non-shedding kind so generally I pick up my focal point (sticky side hit the floor) and just attempt to position it not too crooked on my card! Love the card. how sweet that you had a masculine image that works perfectly for him.
