Chickie Couture Part 3

Hello, blog friends! I'm back with another DeNami Design "Chickie Couture" feature! DeNami recently released an ADORABLE Everyday Shoes Stamp Set, and I just couldn't wait to dress up my Large Chickie in those cute little slipper images!!!

The guy's slippers totally remind me of my dad reading the newspaper on Sunday mornings. As such, I created "Newspaper Chickie":

He was super easy to create! I will pass on a couple of tips though. When I stamped the Large Chickie I didn't ink up his feet. Then I stamped and paper-pieced the shoes separately using two different patterned papers, cut them out, and put them on Mr. Chickie. Using a black Copic Multiliner, I drew in the rest of his legs and a teeny bit of the feet to make it look like they're in the slippers. I hand-drew the outline of a folded newspaper onto patterned paper, cut it out, and scored it, which allowed me to pop it up a bit in the center when I adhered it.

I think this would make a GREAT tag for Father's Day! DeNami Design's "Happy Father's Day" CL-F211 sentiment fits perfectly on the back along with DeNami's To/From D122 stamp!  Or, you could use this tag for: get well soon, birthday, retirement, etc. LOTS of possibilities!

Supplies:
Stamps: Large Chickie I60, Everyday Shoes Stamp Set PFD01 (DeNami Design)
Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento (Tsukineko)
Copic Sketch Markers
Black Copic Multiliner
Cardstock: Brown Kraft PC11 (DeNami Design); White and Harvest Gold (PTI)
Patterned Paper: Swagger 6x6 Paper Pad (Fancy Pants)
Punch: Round Binding Edge (EK Success)
Die: reinforcement from Tag Sale #1 (PTI)
Baker's Twine: Summer Twine 3pk TW004 (DeNami Design)
Quickie Glue Pen GL01: (Sakura)

The Everyday Shoes Stamp Set also includes a FABULOUS pair of fuzzy slippers!!! Absolutely darling! And who doesn't love to sip on a hot tea or coffee drink in their fuzzy slippers?!?! So...I give you "Morning Cuppa Chickie":

I followed pretty much the same process as I described above, but also added some glitter to the heart on the mug and to her fuzzy slippers!

Wouldn't it be fun to attach this tag to a box/bag of your mom's favorite tea/coffee for Mother's Day? Or how about attaching it to a little care package for a college student who's studying for final exams?!?! Or a friend who's recovering from an illness or surgery? DeNami Design has LOTS and LOTS of sentiments to customize this tag for whatever occasion you desire!
