Shop 52 Denver - Fifteen: {Artsy}

Hello, blog friends! It's time for the next installment of Shop 52 Denver and today I have an extra special treat for you, a BRAND NEW "local" stamp store!!! I am absolutely THRILLED to introduce you to:

ARTSY Stamps and Paper Crafts

Artsy is located in Loveland, CO at the intersection of I-25 and Hwy 34, about an hour north of Denver. If you're thinking this is a bit of a hike for you, I'll let you know---it is DEFINITELY worth visiting! I had the pleasure of meeting owners, Patsy and Dianna, at the Rubber Stamp Expo in Loveland last summer, and they are two of the sweetest ladies EVER! Just look at how cute they are in their aprons:

Artsy opened its doors just one week ago, and it's such an incredibly charming shop! Let's take a look around.

Upon entering the shop you'll find beautiful displays of a wide variety of stamping and paper crafting supplies---stamps (clear, unmounted and wood mounted), inks, embossing folders, ribbons, buttons, embellishments, patterned papers, cardstock, tools, alterable items, stickers, adhesives, etc.

Just look at these yummy ribbons! Only 50 cents a yard! And don't you just LOVE that birdcage display?!?

These fun and brightly colored baskets are provided to customers for their shopping convenience.

Artsy carries a wonderful selection of rubber stamps from lots of different stamp companies, including DeNami Design (one of MY very FAVORITES), Penny Black, 7 Gypsies, Tim Holtz, Loralie Designs, Art Impressions, etc. And sample cards and projects are displayed throughout the store for inspiration!

Check out this selection of alterable items from 7 Gypsies! Just imagine all of the FUN projects and/or handmade gifts you could make with these!

And look at this GORGEOUS sample board! These cards were made using stamps from Outlines Rubber Stamp Company. I had never heard of this company until seeing their products at Artsy and now several of their images are on my stamp wish list!  I think one of the BEST things about a local brick and mortar stamp shop is that it provides customers with the opportunity to be introduced to new stamp companies and the ability to see the products in person.

Here's a closer look. Don't these layered flowers look like TONS of fun?!? And I LOVE how you can paper piece them or color them and mix and match the different flowers for different layers!

Another stamp company that I was introduced to via Artsy is Darcie's. Lovin' the vintage style of these images!!! I was really tempted to buy that wedding set (in the upper left hand corner of the photo), but resisted...this time around...HA!

I LOVE the old furniture and glass jars that are used to display the items for sale throughout the store. You can tell that a lot of thought and care was put into every detail.

Artsy also has a work table in the back of the store. On Tuesdays, for $5, customers can use this space and Artsy's tools to get crafty! They also hold classes. I've included Artsy's contact info at the bottom of this post if you're interested in obtaining their class schedule.

And just when you thought you've seen it all, a second pass around the store reveals:

a beautiful assortment of patterned papers (these are from Prima),

unique embellishments---like these canceled postage stamps (so very trendy and super cool),

printed tissue paper (from 7 Gypsies),

packages of stylish buttons (these are from Crate Paper),

and blank post cards to ink up and use on your cards, scrapbook pages or other paper crafting projects.

I hope you enjoyed our little tour of Artsy! And if you live in Colorado or happen to visit Colorado I hope you'll find some time to stop by this fabulous local stamp shop and check it out in person!

I will be having a GIVEAWAY at the end of March! The prize package includes some super fun goodies from Artsy!!! For a chance to win, just leave me a comment letting me know what you liked most about this post.

Thanks for stopping by today! And remember to support the local shops in your area!!

I really enjoy these "shop tours". I would love to be able to browse them myself but for the sake of my wallet it's probably good that I can only see them this way! LOL! Thanks for sharing them. :)

Hi Lisa, I was happy to see your work on DeNami's website! It brought me back to your great blog. I'm definitely going to go visit Artsy, since it's up in my neck of the woods close to Greeley. I'm sure I'll see you soon at the Loveland Rubber Stamp & Scrapbook Expo coming this summer...AnnMarie

This is an awesome B & M stamping store! Wow I can only imagine how much fun you must have had lucky you! It makes me sad that many of these shops can't survive these days, so I am happy to see one still going strong! :-) Thanks for sharing! I always enjoy your post!
