Trick

Hey there! This is my second post for today. Click HERE see the Halloween goodie bag I made for my dad!

Ted over at Happily Ever Crafter is not only a talented paper crafter, but he also hosts really creative challenges! This time around participants had to e-mail Ted and say, "Trick or Treat!" Then, he replied with either a trick or a treat and that was what determined the guidelines for your challenge card. Is that clever or what?!?! Well, my e-mail from Ted said "Well, you got yourself a juicy, plump TRICK!" HA! So that meant I had to create a Halloween card using only pastels and cutesy non-Halloween animals.

Well, Ted, I have to tell you that you certainly gave my brain a good workout! It took me FOREVER to figure out what I was going to do for this challenge! I debated on ducking out, but then I was like, no...I can't do that! I e-mailed Ted to accept this challenge and he replied so promptly---I MUST figure something out! Here's what I came up with:

Those sweet little birds are the "Tweety Bird Border K83" from DeNami Design! I paper pieced them with Bitty Box Basics DP (Papertrey Ink). Paulina has created lots of cute cards using these little guys!! (Thanks for the inspiration, Paulina!)

I created the sentiment in Microsoft Word.

So, what do you think? Did I succeed in this challenge? It sure was a tough one, but I really like how it got me thinking outside of the box!!

Thanks for stopping today!

Ted's challenges are my FAVORITE because they always make me think outside the box! I think you did an excellent job with your mission to create something cute and pastel for Halloween, I know it is tough!
