You Are Awesome

Hi there! Today I'm sharing a card I made for the most recent Just Us Girls Challenge.

At a recent stamping retreat I had the opportunity to try out some alcohol inks. A big THANK YOU to Danielle for providing the inks, paper, tools, and a little mini class on how to use them :) It was so much fun!!!

My experimenting resulted in a couple of different panels, and I just now had a chance to turn one of those panels into a card.

Unfortunately I didn't write down which ink colors I used, but on this panel I squirted drops of alcohol ink and blending solution onto some Yupo paper and then used a tool that you squeeze air out of to move the ink around. (I've also seen videos where people blow through a straw to create a similar effect.)

My youngest brother is turning 40 at the end of this month and I'm heading to Pittsburgh to visit/celebrate with him and my family! This card is for him :) He's an incredible artist, and I've always thought he's pretty darn awesome ;) Hope he likes it!

Thanks for stopping by!

The bright colors, their placement and blend made a very artistic card, Lisa, one I'm sure your brother will love. Thanks for sharing it with us at Just Us Girls.
