Popsicle Party

I’m up on the DeNami Design Blog today sharing several ideas for creating a Popsicle-Themed Party! This idea was inspired by the super adorable popsicle stamps that were recently released by DeNamiDesign! LOVE them!!!

Here’s a look at the collection of goodies I created:

When I was making one of my tags for Sneak Peek Week, I realized that the PPPD07 Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 3 Dies look just like a popsicle (minus the stick). That sparked the idea to add a craft stick to the bottom of the die-cut and turn it into a popsicle. That, in turn, sparked the idea to create some popsicle party invitations. Here’s what I came up with:

For each invitation, I die-cut the tag five times (once from patterned paper, twice from coordinating colored cardstock, and twice from white cardstock). I used a couple of border dies to trim the bottom of the patterned paper tags. I adhered the patterned paper tag to the coordinating colored cardstock tag and then to a white tag. Then, I glued a craft stick to the back side of the white tag. I stamped the F82 It’s A Party sentiment and the F83 Party Info image onto the second colored cardstock tag, adhered it to the second white tag, and then adhered those to the back of the previously layered tags. Ta-da! A popsicle invitation!

Here’s a look at the back side of the invitations:

Instead of using envelopes to package up the invitations, I thought these glassine bags were perfect! They measure 3 3/8” x 4 ¾”.

I also made some little treat bags using the mini version of the same tag. I followed the same process I used for the invitations, but left out the extra white cardstock layers. And for the popsicle stick I used a die-cut for a snow ski (just the bottom portion of the die-cut). I cut a stitched label from white cardstock, stamped the sentiment and clipped everything together onto a glassine treat bag with a tiny wooden clothespin.

Finally, I made some little place cards or food/snack labels. These were super simple and feature many of the new popsicle images from DeNami Design (see supply list at the end of this post). I die-cut three stitched rectangles from white cardstock, stamped the images, and added color with markers and a touch of sparkle with a glitter pen. I cut three coordinating pieces of colored cardstock to 3 1/8” x 4 ¼” and scored each at 2 1/8”. To finish, I attached the stamped rectangle in the center.

I hope you like what I’ve shared today!!! I had so much fun putting this little popsicle party together!!!

Here’s one more look at the whole ensemble:
