Birthday Stripes

Hello there! I'm up on the DeNami Design Blog today. This week our design team is featuring neutral or monochromatic cards. My sister-in-law’s birthday is coming up, so I decided to create a card for her using four different shades of her favorite color: purple. Here’s what I came up with:

The N128 Three Line Border stamp continues to be one of my go-to stamps from DeNami Design. I absolutely LOVE it!! To make this card, I simply inked up the N128 Three Line Border and stamped it repeatedly, switching to a new shade of purple ink every few times and working my way from the lightest shade of purple to the darkest. Then, I inked up the Happy Birthday sentiment from the TR16 All Occasion Sentiments Stamp Set in the darkest shade of purple and stamped it in the upper left-hand corner. To finish, I tied on some hemp cord and added some sparkle to the stripes at the bottom of the card.

What do you think???

I hope you like my project for today and feel inspired to get inky!

Bet she will be thrilled with it. I love the colors and have to tell you when I was a teen I had a bedspread with three tiers of ruffles in those colors. I loved that so much and this card brought it right back to my mind. Great card for her.
