All Who Wander...

Our neighbor friends are heading to New Zealand (happy sigh...if you follow my blog, you know that New Zealand holds a special place in my heart). They'll be gone for close to two months, and it'll be their first time visiting the South Island. Since my husband and I spent five months there last year, they asked if we'd share some information with them. So, last night we had them over for dinner and drinks and a mini strategizing session.

I made them a card using a map of New Zealand stamp that I actually purchased in New Zealand during our time there. It's from a company called Rubbadubbadoo Artstamps based in Tauranga, New Zealand.

I stamped the map and then stamped a sentiment from Travel Notes (Unity/Simple Stories) over top. I used this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #118 for my layout:

I ordered and wrapped up one of our favorite books that we discovered on the shelf of our NZ townhome and read while we were there. It's called The Colour by Rose Tremain, and it's a historical fiction book set in 1860s New Zealand during the gold rush. Fantastic read! Especially interesting for anyone who has visited or is visiting the South Island! Here's a look at the complete package:

They LOVED it!!!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful weekend!

What a thoughtful gift. Your card is so great and that you bought the stamp there and made them a card with it is extra special.
