When I'm paper piecing I always end up with lots of little extras. Today I'm sharing a card I created using some of those "extras" (from THIS card) and this sketch from Just Us Girls Challenge #205:
I love the colors and the mix of patterns in the Quilting Bee 6x6 Designer Paper Pad by My Mind's Eye. A rather non-traditional color scheme for Autumn, but creative types can get away with that, right?!?!
As you may have seen on the news, it's been raining here for nearly three straight days and many areas are experiencing flash floods. Driving home yesterday I was about two miles into our canyon when I encountered a long line of traffic---that's never a good sign---especially in torrential downpours. I was just around one of the many bends in the road so I couldn't see what was going on. (I should probably tell you that the 11-mile stretch of canyon road from town to our house is one lane in each direction, no shoulder, very curvy, lots of steep rock walls, and climbs nearly 3000 feet in elevation.) When the police finally waved us through, there it was---a nasty rock slide that filled up the entire west-bound lane...and...a car that was precariously perched up on the rubble. Couldn't wrap my brain around that one. Hopefully nobody was hurt.
A good reminder as to what an incredible force Mother Nature is.
To all of my Colorado friends, be careful and stay safe! (((HUGS)))
Thanks for stopping by!

I've been thinking of my Colorado blogging friends today Lisa and hoping all is well. Your card is just as cute as can be! I love the unconventional fall colors!!
What fun leaves! Great job with the sketch - thanks for joining in at JUGS!
It's a little wet around here, right!!??? I cannot believe the pictures that I am seeing from our dry state! Sounds like you drive uphill so you are probably OK (except for falling boulders). I look down on the city so no problems.
The leaf stamps are so cute and work perfectly with the different patterns. My DeNami wishlist gets longer with every card that you make!
Awesome card, Miss Lady!! The rain here is cray......right?! Stay safe, dearie!! :)
CAS, cute and perfectly done! I love the paper pieced leaves!
You are in my thoughts, Lisa! Just saw some scary photos of the flash flooding. Wow. Hang in there! I hope you and yours all stay safe.
BTW, LOVELY card!
