Pin-spired With DeNami Design

It's our very first "Pin-spired" day over at the DeNami Design Blog! YAY! Here's how it works:

On the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, DeNami Design will feature an inspirational photo. DT members will create a card or project inspired by the photo---colors, layout, theme, objects shown, etc. Isn't that a FUN idea?!?! I LOVE IT! And I ADORE the name that Paulina came up with for this feature: "Pin-spired"! So very clever!

Here's our first "Pin-spired" photo:

I was inspired by the layers of colors within that yummy stack of treats! Here's my take:

This was really easy to create! I simply cut a 1.5"x 5.5" panel from cardstock. Then, I cut strips of colored cardstock in various widths, adhered them across the panel, and trimmed off the excess. Stamp the sentiment, tie on the button and bow and you're all set! (Note: The colored cardstock strips for my card measure: Magenta 1.25", Kraft .25" Petal Pink 1", Kraft .25", Berry Sorbet .5", Kraft .25", Magenta 1", Kraft .25", and Petal Pink .75")

Once I finished this card I got to thinking that it would be really fun to make some more in different color schemes. So...I created one in purples and one in greens.
