Storage Idea

I also wanted to share a little storage idea with you today. I've made it my mission to do a better job of using my scraps of cardstock. As such, I needed to come up with a better way of organizing those scraps (my DeNami Design scraps in particular).

When you buy cardstock from DeNami Design it comes in a plastic sleeve. I recently reorganized my craft shelf and took all of my cardstock out of these sleeves, so I had a pile of sleeves just sitting in a basket waiting to be used for something.

The flap of the sleeve has a sticky strip, so I cut the flap off. Then, I was left with more of a pocket sleeve----easy to slip things in and out of.

I placed one full-size sheet of each color of DeNami cardstock that I own into its own sleeve. (Note: Having one full sheet in there adds stability/support.) Then, I sorted my DeNami cardstock scraps by color and placed them in the respective sleeves. I arranged the sleeves in rainbow (ROYGBIV) order in a basket for easy access.

I completed this project several weeks ago, and I have to say...it's working!!! I'm using my scraps MUCH MORE than I had in the past! And I LOVE that this solution was easy and didn't cost a single penny!

What do you think???

Thanks for stopping by!
