Valentine Fishes

Hello! Just wanted to pop in and share a couple of Valentine's Day cards! Both of these were created for Winter's "Cards From The Heart" card drive! Hope the kiddos like them!!!

I used the negative space from a heart punch as a stencil to lightly outline the heart shape in pencil. Then, I stamped the fish---sometimes using the smaller fish and sometimes the larger one. I practiced this on scratch paper first to make sure it was going to work, making adjustments here and there until I found an arrangement that fit. I colored the fish with Copic Sketch Markers using one of my favorite color combos.

Next up, a little number using some Paper Smooches goodies:

That cow cracks me up!!! And I couldn't resist stamping those lips (from Inkadinkado) over the "smooches" sentiment!

So...how's your week going?

A couple of my neighbors/girlfriends (whom I totally adore) came over to my place for lunch today! I set up a little salad bar with mixed greens, roasted chicken, avocado, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, roasted red peppers, carrots, vegetable pasta, and parmigiano-reggiano cheese. Yum! We ate lunch, sipped on some New Zealand wine (Monkey Bay Sauvignon Blanc), had some little chocolates for dessert, and just chatted away for hours! It was a great way to spend a cold, windy afternoon in the mountains!
