Valentine Gifties

Hi there! Just dropping by today to share a couple of Valentine's Day gifties I made and sent to my parents and my nephew!

This is a little gift card holder. I cut the envelopes from patterned paper. Then, I used a craft knife to cut an opening in the one envelope and placed a patterned paper heart in it.

Here's a looksie at the inside:

I attached the gift card to a box of cinnamon bears wrapped in tissue paper and baker's twine and shipped it off to my folks! (They LOVED it!!!!)

Next up is a take-out box of paper fortune cookies that I made for my seven year-old nephew! I did a tutorial for a similar project on the DeNami Design Blog not too long ago! Click HERE for the tutorial!

First, I stamped out some patterns onto die-cut circles.

Next, I created the paper fortune cookies, following the steps of the tutorial (only this time I decided to put dollar bills inside the fortune cookies instead of messages!)!

Then, I placed the fortune cookies inside a decorative take-out box (purchased at Michaels) and shipped it off to my nephew in California! Hope it got a kick out of it!

I hope you're having a GREAT weekend!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lisa, your parents and nephew are very lucky to have you. LOVE the idea of a dollar bill in the fortune cookies. Will keep that one in the back of my brain for future use. Thanks for sharing!
