Hello, blog friends! Just wanted to stop by and share a card I made for Lawnscaping Challenge #16!
I sure do LOVE the "idea" of one-layer cards because they don't require any extra postage, but I have to admit I find it SOOO challenging to design them. So, I was really happy to see that the most recent Lawnscaping Challenge was all about one layer cards! Such a great way to practice!
I die cut some clouds (MFT), used them as masks, and sponged on some distress ink to create the sky. Next I stamped the dragonfly from "Critters in the Forest" (Lawn Fawn) and colored her with Copic Sketch Markers. I stamped "Merci" (which was a free sentiment I received with one of my Lawn Fawn orders) and colored the flower orange. Then, I used a black fine tip marker to draw the little trail connecting the sentiment to the dragonfly. Afterwards I felt like the card still needed a little something, so I outlined my clouds with a Quickie Glue Pen (Sakura) and added some Extra Fine Sparklets Glitter (DeNami Design).
What do you think???

super duper cuteness!!!
Fabulous, I also find one layer cards challenging... it always take more paper b/c you can't hide the mistakes.
