Hello there! Today at DeNami Design we're featuring this cutie patootie:
Since an octopus has 8 arms, I thought he'd be the PERFECT focal point on a card for a kiddo's 8th Birthday!!!
I stamped the Octopus onto gray cardstock and added some shading with a Copic Sketch Marker. Then I cut him out and adhered him to a number "8" that I created using some patterned paper and a stencil.
I created two sentiment panels from scrap pieces of white cardstock and stamped the backgrounds of each with the bubbles from the Under the Sea Stamp Set PF39. Then I inked up the "Happy" and "Birthday" portions of the Happy Birthday stamp (from the All Occasion Sentiments Stamp Set TR16) separately and stamped these over the bubbles.
The focal point of this card could be used on its own as a gift tag or even as cupcake toppers----wouldn't that be super cute?!?!
I hope you like my creation! Be sure to head on over to the DeNami Design Blog to check out all of the FABULOUS projects the rest of the DT and our Guest Designer, Dana, have made using the Octopus image!!! And remember, the Octopus stamp is 10 percent off this week!!!
Have a WONDERFUL day!

Perfect for the age, not too juvenile. Love the 8 and all of the sea creatures, so fun!
