Hello! It's Monday and that means it's time for my second installment of Shop 52 Denver! YAY! This week I'd like to introduce you to The Soap Shop located at 1542 Miner Street in Idaho Springs, Colorado 80452 (just down the street from The Wild Grape, which I spotlighted last week)! Click HERE to check out The Soap Shop's website and to shop online!!!
This super cute shop (that lures you inside with its delightful scents) is owned by Shonna and Roger Duke! They sell the most amazing soaps, lotions, candles, bath salts, shampoos/conditioners, baby products, etc! All of these products are handcrafted using the highest quality ingredients right in the back room of their shop.
When you enter The Soap Shop you are welcomed by the relaxing sounds of a gentle waterfall and the soothing scents of nature.
Baskets of handcrafted soaps are labeled with the name of the scent, the ingredients, and the benefits derived from those particular ingredients. Bars of soap are priced by the ounce. You can also purchase soap by the "loaf." All of their handmade soaps are 100% organic and contain no animal fats, synthetic dyes or preservatives. So, you can feel extra good about pampering yourself!!!
They also make and sell a wide variety of lotions in scents such as Colorado Breeze, Mountain Mint, Sunflower, and Wild Mountain Rose---all inspired by the surrounding mountains! All of their lotions are made with organic ingredients, are paraben free and contain no fillers or alcohol.
Funny little side note: After allowing me to browse for a bit, a guy approached me and asked if I needed any assistance. I told him I was having such a hard time deciding what to buy because they ALL smelled so wonderful! He said, my wife had that same problem, so I bought her the whole shop! HA! Turns out the guy was Roger. He and his wife, Shonna, own this precious little shop! I had a wonderful time talking to Roger! He was super nice and really helpful!
Dried wildflower wands.
I absolutely LOVE the organic decor in this shop---like this vase of branches decorated with leaf-shaped soaps! Ahhhh!
One of their completely delightful seasonal soaps! I was immediately drawn to the gorgeous color of this soap, and when I smelled it I fell in LOVE! And yes, I admit, a couple of bars of this went home with me (along with a cute little wooden soap holder).
There were so many wonderful products to choose from! I had the hardest time deciding which ones to buy! I kept walking around smelling them all over and over again! HA!
Don't you just love this gift idea? It's three bars of The Soap Shop soap wrapped in decorative tissue paper and tied onto a wooden soap holder with a yummy bow! Price $12!!! Wouldn't that be a fabulous little something to give to a friend or co-worker?!?! LOVE IT!
A display of baby products---so sweet! You could really create a special little gift basket for a new mom or mommy-to-be!
I think this sign says it all: "Nature" is our Inspiration! The owners of this fabulous little shop clearly love and appreciate their environment! I am so happy to have stumbled upon this little gem! It has given me the opportunity to pamper myself and friends/family with products inspired by and created from nature! AND...I can feel extra good about my purchases because they're eco-friendly and support our local economy!
How about a little giveaway?!?! YAY! I'm planning to make another shopping trip to The Soap Shop soon, so the winner this time around will get a soap and lotion in the scent of their choice! And I'll even throw in a cute little wooden soap holder!!!
