Hello there! Today is an extra exciting day because today is the first day of Shop 52 Denver! It's part of the Shop 52 Project, a brilliant idea created by Tina and Jack Fussell of Flying House by Traveling Mama! If you're not already familiar with their blog I would highly recommend checking it out! It's an incredibly inspiring place to visit!
The Shop 52 Project works like this: Every Monday (for 52 weeks) I will be featuring a local shop in the Denver area (including some of the mountain towns surrounding Denver). These shops are truly little gems and offer tons of inspiration and lots of handmade and/or locally made goods! They are operated by some of the most kind-hearted, creative, talented and hardworking people you will ever meet. I hope to not only inspire you, but to also encourage you to support these local shops (and the local shops in your own towns as well)!
In honor of this new adventure, I will be having a giveaway EVERY WEEK during the month of December 2010!!! The prize will be something from the shop that I'm featuring that particular week!!! YAY!
Without further delay, I'd like to introduce you to The Wild Grape, 1435 Miner Street, Idaho Springs, Colorado 80452!
This charming little shop is located in Idaho Springs, CO, a tiny old mining town located off of I-70W en route to many of the ski resorts in the mountains west of Denver.
The Wild Grape sells gorgeous home decor items, unique gifts, beautiful jewelry, and lots of fun seasonal items! During my visit they were completely decked out for the upcoming winter holiday season! I absolutely could not resist buying one of those pine snowflakes for my home! SO FESTIVE!
The items in the store are displayed so beautifully---every detail is attended to! And the people who work here are so helpful and sweet!
Their sign says: "Unique Gifts and Selfish Necessities." Isn't that cute? I'm thinking these adorable little measuring spoons may be a "necessity" for me in the near future! HA!
And how about these hand-painted clips and coasters. So artsy and fun!
LOVE the retro look of this display for kitchen items!
And how about some pure mountain elegance!
This festive holiday mantel display warms my heart! Check out those adorable wooden sleds! Ahhhh!
Cozy hand-knit hats with a 1920's style---tres chic!
And such a clever way to display these beautiful charms and pendants!
So, what do you think?
How about a GIVEAWAY from this little treasure box?
I just happen to have one of these festive hanging pine snowflakes for one lucky winner! This would make the perfect addition to your home or front door for the entire winter season!!! You could even embellish it with a giant bow!
