New Cards & Easter Eggs

Hello there! Sorry I've been MIA from blogland for a couple of weeks. One of my friends is an elementary school art teacher, and he asked me to create some cards for an auction at his school. So, that kept me quite busy. And last week we had friends visiting from out of town for their Spring Break. LOTS of FUN!

Today I wanted to share with you a few of the cards that I made for the auction.

For this card, I used the banner image from "Look Up!" (Practicing Creativity), the balloons from "Everyday Button Bits" (Papertrey Ink), and a sentiment from "Signature Greetings" (Papertrey Ink) stamped in "Orange Zest" (Papertrey Ink)---SWEET!.

I paper pieced the banner using patterned paper from Making Memories. I LOVE LOVE LOVE paper piecing and this banner image works perfectly for this technique! The orange gingham paper is also by Making Memories.

Here's a close-up:

Here's another card using images from "Look Up!" (Practicing Creativity):

I think the hot air balloon images are SO SPECTACULAR!! And they're so versatile! The sky/clouds patterned paper is from "Actopus to Zelephant" (K&Company) and the trees were cut from patterned paper by American Crafts. This card was really fun to create!

Just so this post doesn't get TOO LONG, I'll share one more of my auction cards today and save some for future posts!

This card was my "masculine" version of the first card I shared today. The banner, hot air balloon, and bird images are from "Look Up!" (Practicing Creativity) and the sentiment is from Making Memories.

As a reminder: There's still time for you to enter for a chance to win my blog candy!!! Click HERE to play along!

And before I go...I must share some photos of our Easter Eggs! This was the first time in probably 10 years that I've dyed Easter Eggs! Luckily I had the help of my sweet friend, Barb, and her two little guys!!! We had such a SUPER time using crayons, dyes, paints, stickers, etc!!

Hope everyone is having a fantastic week! Thanks for stopping by!
