Laura's Sketch #47

Hey there! Here's a card I created using Laura's Sketch at "2 Sketches 4 You" and the stamp set "Look Up!" from Practicing Creativity! I received this set in the mail a few day ago and was so excited to finally have a chance to get it inky!! Although, I have to admit---I'm hooked now and totally plan to create some more with this set as soon as I have a chance!

Today is the perfect day for this card! The sun is shining and the sky is an amazing shade of blue here in the mountains of Colorado! Speaking of skies. I created the sky on this card using the funky shape that's included in the "Look Up!" set. I inked one of the scalloped ends of the shape and masked off the rest. Then, I stamped the inky end randomly throughout the circle and the circle frame. This created some "cloud tops." Then, I took a sponge and dabbed the ink all around to fill in the remainder of the sky. I LOVE how it turned out!!! Here's a close-up:

I popped the circle frame and the balloon up with Pop Dots, so that the balloon would look like it was floating!

I love how the sentiments in this set can be curved!! That's how I fit the sentiment onto the strip at the top of the balloon! It was really simple!!
