Taintor-Tude Challenge

The most recent challenge over in the Moxie Fab World is to create a project using Anne Taintor's sassy style as your inspiration. Click HERE to see examples of Anne Taintor's work, and to find links to the amazing projects created by other participants in this challenge. This was SO MUCH FUN! I have to admit...I was cracking myself up thinking of a sentiment to add to this card. Here's what I came up with:

I used the image as my starting point. It's from a package of transparency shapes that are part of the "Homespun Chic" line designed by Melody Ross for GCD Studios, Inc. Then, I thought of my own little sassy phrase and typed it up in Microsoft Word. I then built the rest of the card around these two elements. I cut a slit in the top piece of patterned paper and slipped the gal in there to make it look more like she was popping right through my card---to save the day and trim that ribbon, of course!!! HAHAHA!
Here's a close-up of her snipping the ribbon:
What do you think? Pretty fun? I can't wait to make some more cards like this!! Such a great way to get a good laugh on!!!
(Scroll down to see my photos from Valentine's Day.)
Thanks for stopping by!!!

How was your Valentine's Day? How did you celebrate? My husband and I celebrated with a quiet dinner at home by the fire. So cozy. Just perfect. Here are some photos of the meal I prepared:

We started with Caesar Salad:

Then moved onto one of our all-time favorites from our trips to Italy, Tagliatelle Bolognese:

And finished up with a dessert of chocolate pudding topped with heart-shaped bananas:
