Happy 60th Birthday, Dad!

My dad turns 60 on Monday, March 1st!!! (Although HE claims he's only turning 36!) You see, my dad and I actually share our birthday! Yep, it's true---on my dad's 24th birthday, he received quite the "gift"---ME!!!! hahaha! So he says he got to start over with the whole counting thing when I was born, which makes him 36 (along with me) on Monday! I guess that's only fair considering I was pretty much the STAR of all of our birthday parties from that point on :)

Unfortunately, I won't be able to celebrate with my dad in person this year. He and my mom are coming to Colorado to visit this summer, so we're planning to have a belated celebration then. In the meantime, I wanted to send him and extra special card to let him know how proud I am to call him my dad. Here's what I came up with:

In honor of his 60th birthday, I came up with 60 words that come to mind when I think of my dad! Then, I used those 60 words to create the background paper in Microsoft Word. I changed up the fonts and colors to add interest to the design. What do you think? (The only teeny problem I can foresee is the color combination. I happen to love this combo, but I'm a little worried my dad will see it as too representative of the Denver Broncos!! Zoiks! As a purebred yinzer, born and raised in Pittsburgh, he's a dedicated Steelers fan!!! Oh boy, let's just hope he focuses on the words and not the colors. I'll keep you posted.)

Here's a close-up:

I hope he likes it! I put it in the mail yesterday, so hopefully it will get there in time!!

Enjoy your weekend!!!
