I started off by stamping the "Jumbo Flower" image (Stampendous!) in the bottom left-hand corner of a blank white card. Then, I stamped the flower again five more times on patterned paper, cut out the various petals and paper pieced the flower together. The center of the flower consists of a punched patterned paper circle and a fabric covered brad from American Crafts.
I decided to offset the chocolate brown matting on the front of the card to give it a funky/trendy look. I drew the solid frame using a ruler and a dark brown TUL marker and then stamped the stitched lines inside of the frame.
Here's a close-up of the flower:
I was thinking I should make sets of these with different sentiments to give to family/friends as gifts.
Hope you're having a super weekend! Thank you so much for all of your comments on my blog! It's like receiving special little gifts each day!!!!
