Here's a card I just finished up for Kazan's Sketch Challenge over at "2 Sketches 4 You." Click HERE to see the original sketch and the creations made by the other participants.
Not too long ago I won an American Crafts prize package from the Paper Crafts Magazine blog (Paper Crafts Connection)! They give away the most amazing prizes!!! Included in that package were these tree and sun fleece embellishments---aren't they darling? And I think they add such a comfy cozy feel to the card. The prize package also included the "Blue Skies" stamp set from American crafts which is how I made the sun, the cloud, and the bird. I'm thinking of sending this card to a far away friend to brighten her day!!
As a side note, my husband and I watched Julie & Julia on Thursday!! Granted, my husband was slightly less than enthusiastic about the idea of the movie, but he was willing to watch it because I was SO EXCITED about it!! Yes, he is the BEST husband EVER! And, I have to tell you---every time those women cooked something, my husband's eyes would get HUGE and he'd say, "Oooohhhh...YOU HAVE GOT TO MAKE THAT FOR US SOMETIME!!!!" So...yep...yesterday I purchased Mastering the Art of French Cooking!! And I'm planning on breaking it in by making Tony a very special surprise birthday dinner and dessert from it!! (He doesn't even know I bought the book----shhhh!) I will be sure to let you know how it goes!
