ABC Challenge - "C is for Circles"

Here's a card I made for the August 26th ABC Challenge, "C is for Circles." If you don't already participate in the weekly ABC Challenges, you should!! It's SO MUCH FUN!!! Check out the challenge details HERE!

I used a lot of circles in this card, but in the finished product it looks more like a lot of incomplete/partial circles. Oh well!! For example, the scalloped edge around the stamped image is made up of punched circles that I adhered to the back of the larger partial circle. I learned this trick for creating a scalloped edge from Wendy Johnson in a recent Paper Crafts magazine. I then took the creative liberty of alternating the colors of my circles to give it a funky twist! The card itself is made from polka dot embossed cardstock by Bazzill. I LOVE the color----it's called "Cornmeal." Then, of course, I have the polka dot ribbon and the glittered brads.

I used paper piecing on the shirt and purse. I also added some glitz to her bling with a Gelly Roll pen (Sakura).

I'm going to send this card to a good friend of mine who recently found out she's pregnant with twins!!! (She frequently checks my blog, but she's on vacation, so I hope she's not reading this post and seeing this card right now ;)
