Today I'm sharing a card I made for the February Mix It Up Challenge over at Sugar Pea Designs!
My friend's son, Tucker, is about to turn 8 years old in May. He's quite the hiker, and we've been on LOTS of adventures together! A couple of years ago when we were on an overnighter to summit Mt. Holy Cross he gave each of us trail names. He was Osprey Hunter, his mom was Mama Viva, and I was Mountain Goat. HA! The names have stuck---we continue to use them on all of our outings :)
So...now that you have the back story...here's the card I made for Tucker's upcoming birthday (using the above sketch and the awesome Totes Ma Goats stamp set from Sugar Pea Designs!):
The dark rocks at the bottom are the staggered strips in the sketch. Works, right?!?
We've seen quite a few mountain goats on our adventures here in CO. Here's a photo I took of a mama and kid we encountered on our descent from the summit of Mt. Quandary:
I hope you're having a fantastic week!
Thanks for visiting!
