New Feature on the DeNami Design Blog

Hello there! Today I'm sharing a card I made for a brand new feature on the DeNami Design Blog. The feature is called "Inspired By," and it's super fun!

We love seeing all of the fabulous cards/projects our customers create with DeNami Design stamps! So, each month we will be choosing one card (created by a customer) to highlight in the "Inspired By" feature. The Design Team will then take that card, use it as inspiration to create cards of their own, and share them on the blog.

Alrighty...let's get started! For February, we were inspired by this beautiful card by Stacy:

I LOVE Stacy's color combo and those sweet pansy sprigs. Here's my creation:

I started by stamping the Three Line Border in Grape ink to cover my card base. (Note: The longest lines were stamped twice in order to reach completely across the A2 card. I just made sure the intersections of the lines were hidden under my focal point.) I die-cut my layered panels, cutting two of the smallest stitched rectangles (one from vellum and one from white cardstock). I stamped the Pansy Bouquet in black ink onto the vellum and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then used markers to add some color onto the white cardstock rectangle, so the color would show through when I placed the vellum on top. Here's a closer look:

I stamped the sentiment and used a mini clothespin to clip it together with a scrap of patterned paper and some natural twine. To finish, the focal point was adhered to the card front with foam tape.

I hope you like my card for today!

What do you think of the new feature??? We'd love to see YOUR creations, so be sure to check out the link at the beginning of my post. You'll also want to head on over to the DeNami Design Blog to see how my fellow DT girls were inspired by Stacy's card.

Thanks for stopping by!

I enjoyed reading about how you layered the pansies on vellum over white cardstock that was already colored. That is such a cool technique! The stripes are awesome. This card is amazing!

These are such pretty flowers and I like the striped pattern on the background, then the asymmetrical matting of your focal image. Really cheery & pretty & think your inspiration idea is wonderful. TFS & Hugs
