Chickie Couture #12

Hi there! Welcome to my first "Chickie Couture" feature for 2014!

Last weekend my husband and I went to see the "Passport to Paris" exhibit at the Denver Art Museum---Monet, van Gogh, Renoir, Pissarro, etc. It was absolutely FABULOUS and so inspiring! I LOVED every minute of it!

With our museum adventure still fresh in my memory, I just couldn't resist creating Artistic Chickie:

I stamped the I60 Large Chickie image in Tuxedo Black Memento ink onto  yellow cardstock, added some touches of color with markers and cut him out. I placed a piece of lightweight paper over top of the stamped Chickie and drew his palette and paintbrush. Then, I cut out the pieces and used them as templates to create a palette and paintbrush from colored cardstock. All of the tiny pieces were then assembled/adhered using a Quickie Glue Pen.

I drew the easel onto brown kraft cardstock and cut it out. I then die-cut a rectangle from white cardstock for the canvas and stamped some images onto it from PF27 Whimsical Flowers Stamp Set and PF42 Love Sentiments Stamp Set. A true masterpiece, don't ya think?!?!

Finally, I adhere Chickie and his art easel onto a focal point panel, tied on some Spring Twine and attached it to a blank card.

Here's a closer look:

I hope you enjoyed this installment of "Chickie Couture."
