Fresh Florals Blog Hop With DeNami Design

Hello and welcome to your next stop on DeNami Design's Fresh Florals Blog Hop! If you're on track you've arrived here from Pattie Goldman's beautiful blog! If not...no worries...click HERE to head to the DeNami Design Blog so you can start at the beginning!

My favorite flowers are Gerbera Daisies, so I decided to pull out DeNami Design's J77 Large Daisy Blossom for today's project!

I embossed the daisies and leaves onto vellum with white embossing powder and then flipped the panel over and colored the images with Copic Sketch Markers. I had seen Kristina Werner make a card using this technique and had been wanting to try it out. (You can see her video HERE.) The colored daisies and leaves ended up with a kind of washed denim look to them---it's pretty nifty in person! I'd like to try it again with a heavier, smoother vellum to compare the results.

Well...I hope you like my creation for today! Be sure to leave a comment here and on each participant's blog throughout the hop! DeNami Design is giving away THREE gift certificates to their online store (TWO to randomly selected commenters and ONE to a randomly selected participant)! And who doesn't LOVE free shopping?!?! You have until 11:59PM PST on May 20, 2013 to comment.

Happy Hopping! Next stop: Annette Holleger's super fun blog!
