DeNami Product Challenge #3 - Glitter!!!

Hello! Here's a card I created for the most recent challenge over at DeNami Design! There's still time to participate, so hop on over there and check out the details!

When I saw that the challenge was to use glitter I just had to try out the technique of creating frames with Scor-Tape and glitter. I've seen Nichole Heady of Papertrey Ink use this technique, and it always looks stunning!

It was really simple. I just stuck strips of Scor-Tape around the edges of my cardstock, sprinkled some fabulous "Extra Fine Sparklets" (DeNami Design) over top, tapped off the extras and VOILA! What do you think?

The "Round Leafy Tree" image (one of my favorites) and the sentiment are both from DeNami Design! I added some color to the tree with my Copic Sketch Markers. Here's a close-up:

The ribbon has some shimmer to it too, which I thought went well with the glittery frames. Unfortunately the lighting wasn't the best when I photographed this today. Sorry.

It's been a crazy busy summer and today was the first time in over TWO MONTHS that I've had a chance to create anything!! I was going through some serious withdrawal...believe me! It was SO FANTASTIC to meet up with some of my fellow Colorado girls today to get inky!!! We always have such a good time stamping, chatting, and laughing! Feels good to tap into my creative side again!

Thanks for stopping by!
