EBTKS Challenge #10

Here's the card I created for the most recent "Everything But the Kitchen Sink Challenge." The challenge: USE FABRIC! Well, it just so happens that I have a bag of random fabric leftover from various projects spanning the last 12 years. No joke. And I haven't looked in this bag since we moved into our house 3 years ago, but I knew it was somewhere in one of our closets. (Hey...I'm a bit of a pack rat when it comes to craft supplies!! You just never know when you're going to need that stuff, right? HA!)

The polka dot curtains are made from some fabric that my mom and I used to make some cute little favors for my grandma's 70th birthday (um...8 years ago). But SEE here I am using it again today to make these darling little curtains for the EBTKS Challenge!!! Ha! Pack-rattiness justified!

I was pretty excited with how this turned out! I cut the window out with my Cutter Bee craft knife. It was super simple. I used my Score-Pal to make the embossed lines in the shutters and handcut little frames to mat on top of the shutters to give them a more finished look.

I created the little flowers using the stems from "Everyday Button Bits" (PTI), a flower punch (EK Success), and a 1/4" hole punch. I cut the grass by hand using a strip of green cardstock and some scissors. The flower box is just a strip of cardstock with the edges cut at a diagonal and a slightly longer thinner strip attached to the top.

I'm going to send this to my dear friend, Stacey, who just bought her first home!!!!

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!!!!!

A little humor for you: My aunt sent me the funniest birthday card. On the front there's a little girl praying, she says..."Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my shape to keep. Please no wrinkles, please no bags, and lift my butt before it sags..." Inside it says, "A little divine intervention never hurts!" Too cute and so perfect (especially since I'm 36 now!!! YIKES!)!

Hope you're having a FUN weekend!
