Quarantine Succs

Happy Thursday! Today I'm playing along with the current Color Throwdown Challenge :)

Here's my card:

I was inspired not only by the super fun color combo at Color Throwdown but also by a recent video I saw by Sandy Allnock :) I whipped up 9 of these cards to send to family and friends. These are crazy times we're living in right now and laughter is so good for the soul :) I hope these cards bring some giggles.

I hope you are well!
Keep your chin up and try to keep smiling :)

Thanks so much for visiting!

Make A Wish

Today I'm playing along with the current challenge over at The Paper Players :)

Here's what I created:

Channeling my amazing crafty friend, Jill, with my colorful striped strips layered behind a die-cut ;) I recently purchased the 1/4" Quick Strips Die from The Stamp Market and boy oh boy does it make this technique super duper simple! I absolutely LOVE it!!! And such an awesome tool for people like me who aren't so stellar at cutting straight strips ;)

The scalloped strip at the bottom of the panel is cut from Pixie Dust Sparkle Cardstock (Lawn Fawn)---sooo shimmery in person!

While I was at it, I made a second CAS card---very similar, but no bling:

I think I can guess what we're all wishing for right about now---for this horrible nightmare virus situation to be over. I hope you and your families are staying safe and healthy!

Thanks for stopping by!

Birthday Presents

Hello, crafty friends! Today I'm playing along with two challenges:

I love polka dots and stripes, and Donna's sketch is super fun, so I had a great time combining these two challenges :)

Here's my card:

These delightful little presents are from a Uniko Studio set called A Gift For You. I used sponge daubers to add a little bit of an ombre effect to the polka dotty parts of the packages :)

My grandma, who is about to turn 89 in June, isn't allowed to leave her apartment because of the pandemic. She loves to send cards, but can't go out to buy any, so I'm working on building up a little collection of handmade cards (for various occasions) to mail to her. I'm making sure they're all nice and flat, so they won't require any extra postage :) I'm also including a bunch of postage stamps, so she'll be all set to send out her happy mail :) I think she's going to be so excited when she receives this package!!!

Thank You For Bean A Friend

Popping in super quick to share a trio of Easter cards I created and snail mailed to some crafty friends last week :)

I had stamped and die-cut a bunch of these jelly beans from Full Of Beans (Taylored Expressions) in a rainbow assortment of colors AGES AGO at a stamping retreat and I FINALLY put them to good use :) The sentiment is also from that same stamp set (I absolutely cannot resist a punny sentiment!!!).

I think they turned out super cute! And I hope they brought some smiles :)

Thanks for visiting!

Take care!!!

Happy 40th Birthday

Hello! Popping in to share a card for the most recent CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge :)

Here's the sketch:

...and here's my take:

My neighbor girlfriend is turning 40 on Saturday :) She and her family were supposed to go on a tropical vacation to celebrate, but ended up having to cancel due to the pandemic. When I was creating this card for her I wanted it to be reminiscent of the islands and the sea...things she loves...places she'll travel to when all of this craziness is over. I hope it makes her smile :)

Thanks for visiting!!!
