Autumn Blog Hop with DeNami Design

Good morning and thank you for joining us for DeNami Design's "Autumn Blog Hop!!!" If you've arrived here from Ayana's blog, then you are on track. If not, no worries, just click HERE to start at the beginning. We have SO MANY incredibly talented participants in this month's hop, so be prepared for LOTS of inspiration!!! PLUS...DeNami Design is giving away gift certificates to the on-line store, so you'll want to make sure you stop by each participant's blog and leave comments!

Okay...enough chatter...here's my Autumn-inspired card:

If you follow my blog, then you know I absolutely ADORE the "Large Chickie" image from DeNami Design! I've been known to dress him/her up in outfits for holidays and special occasions. Well, when I was a kid, my brothers and I used to make GIANT piles of leaves in the yard and then run around and jump into them! We'd spend hours outside having leaf battles and burying each other in the leaves. It was great fun! That's what inspired the idea for this card! I thought Chickie might enjoy jumping in the leaves too! *wink*

Here's a close-up:

I stamped two varieties of leaves from DeNami's "Autumn Stamp Set" repeatedly onto orange, red, and gold cardstock. Then, I cut them out. After stamping the "Large Winter Tree" image and adding a few leaves to it, I literally grabbed a handful of the cut-out leaves and dropped them onto the cardstock to see where they landed. This helped me to visualize my pile of leaves. Then, I re-created the pile next to the stamped tree by stamping some leaves directly onto the cardstock and gluing/pop-dotting the cut-out leaves to add lots of dimension.

I created the sentiment in Microsoft Word and added the button and twine to finish it off!

So, what do you think? I hope this card made you smile on this FESTIVE AUTUMN DAY!

Thanks for stopping by! Now it's time to hop on over to Kim's blog!!! Happy Hopping!
