Hi there!!! Welcome to your next stop on DeNami Design's Lovely Layers Blog Hop!!! I hope you are enjoying all of the FABULOUS inspiration our participants have created! If you're on track, you've arrived here from Karen Baker's AMAZING blog! If not, no worries...you can start from the beginning by clicking HERE and heading to the DeNami Design Blog!
In honor of the warm summer days we've been having here in the mountains, I've layered up some scoops of ice cream for today's hop! YUM!
I kind of went back and forth on the layout. In the end, I decided to let the layered oval extend beyond the edge of the card. What do you think??? Do you like it? Or...do you think I should have trimmed off the right hand edge of the oval to make it flush with the edge of the card?
I covered the cherry on top with a red rain dot to add dimension.
Thanks for hopping along with us today! Remember to comment on each participant's blog for the maximum number of chances to win a prize!!! You have until 11:59PM PST on July 11, 2011 to leave your comments!!
Your next stop on the hop: Linda Monroe's BEAUTIFUL blog! Enjoy!!!

ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of overhanging edges and I think this is perfect! What a fun way to incorporate layers too, so clever!
ReplyDeleteI love your design. The colors are really awesome, and the choice of pattern paper for the background. Overhanging edges are awesome. I always say, if it fits in an envelope, it stays off the edge!

Headed to Cold Stone Creamery...right now! Cutie pie card!
ReplyDeleteLisa, GORGEOUS colors and I LOVE how you layered ice cream! (in addition to all of the other FAB layers on your card!)
ReplyDeleteSweet and cute card:))
ReplyDeleteI like that you lopped off the edge of the oval! I tend to like things "centered," though...so I also liked it complete & offset but that would be a doozy to mail. I could also live w/it centered but it's daring to chop it off at the edge & I like that look! Nifty card!
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa,
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun card!!! :) And I absolutely LOVE the way you have the oval hanging over the edge! It looks so good and adds visual interest!
Thank you so much for sharing and for the chance to win,
